“Excellent hotel stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

The hotel was very clean, spacious and accommodating. The staff were welcoming, efficient and professional, and the restaurant was very good. Our highlight was the breakfast which included so many healthy, well presented choices that t was difficult to choose.

I spent three nights on the seventh floor facing the waterfront and I'm very pleased. The room was modern, clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bath room was also clean and modern. The staff was very professional and friendly. The location is a bit off if you want to spend time in the city center, but with a taxi is just 5 mins away. If you are staying at this hotel I would really recommend a room on the top floors facing the water front - it's a spectacular view. The bar in the lobby is nice and the restaurant on the second floor (can't remember the name) is also very nice for a quiet dinner. I did not have breakfast so I can’t say anything about - except that my colleagues who had breakfast said it was really good.

Room Tip: I can really recommend the bar at the Hostel Kex! A very relaxed and friendly bar with locals mixed...

Nice hotel in the business district, but only 15 minutes walk to the city centre. There is also a shuttle to the city. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Tours and airport shuttles can be booked at the hotel.

The Hilton in Reykjavik is an excellent hotel. Clean, safe, quiet and the hotel staff is terrific. They helped me though the airline losing my luggage. They also helped me plan some great activities while I was there. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Hotel very nice and only a few block walk to town or a short bus ride. We arrived early from the airport via the Blue Lagoon and they gave us our room immediately. Staff were very good. People friendly and everyone speaks english. Vox restaurant expensive compared to Canadian $ but amazing food. Iceland itself is wonderful.

Quite enjoyed our stay. Very modern room with all the perks: robes, slippers, fridge, etc. Smart design dictates your room key must be in a holder adjacent to the door in order to activate electricity. If your room is on the north side, a solid wall of windows face the harbor affording a beautiful view of the city. Staff is friendly and fluent in English. There is a gift shop that is also manned by staff ready and willing to help you book area tours or arrange rides to the airport. The hotel is a busy one, filled with business men and women from around the world. Happy hour is very noisy and finding a table isn't easy! So get to the bar early! The restaurant is very good. Be sure and try the seafood soup. Hope that's the day the chef baked homemade sourdough bread...the best we have eaten in years. If you are a Hilton Honors member, the executive lounge is top notch.

Was booked in by the tour company expected a Hilton to be a top 5 star hotel turned out its just like a normal 4 star room.
It's in Europe so don't expect an air con.

Arrived after a long walk from downtown reykjavik at noon very happily accepted the early check in. Was in room 420 with nice mountain view.

Go to the reception an ask for a bus pass. It's free on all bus routes in reykjavik!

Internet is free in the lobby just type in your name and your email address. The receptionist said in room Internet is at charge however we still managed to get the free wifi working in the room!

Breakfast was fantastic although was a little bit crowded.

We'll be returning on September 25!
