“Authentic atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

We very recommended this place and had booked in advance. The interior is very rustic and not like anything else. The atmosphere of the place is superb - cosy and down to earth. The food was very nice as well - mostly fish and seafood dishes.

“Good food but not extraordinary”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

The fish soup was good but not hot enough. The plate had a good sized piece of grilled cod fish on some potatoes with three grilled carrots a nice sauce was served on the side. The setting inside a 100 + year old historic house was nice and cosy. I think it was fine for cost and taste but there are better.

“Lovely little restaurant in Reykjavik.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We visited this restaurant frist time two years ago and again last week. Both times we had god food end exellent service. Under half the price we would have been charged i Norway and I have never had better fish here. Situated in the center of city in first floor in a restaurant furnished like an old livingroom.

“Disappointed!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Travel book recommended this restaurant so we went there. The place looks nice but the service was not good and the food was "mass production" and no quality.

“Very solid seafood restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Great dinner. Very good, and not standard seafood recipes, excellent ingredients very nicely cooked. Catch of the day was plaice; as seafood lovers well know, plaice is a funny one, cook it right and it is truly delicious...30 secs too much and it will already go substandard and dry: this one was delicious. Fishsoup was really good too, different from the usual overly creamy Nordic soup.
Lovely and slightly quirky atmosphere, and very friendly service. Prices are very reasonable considering quality, and portions are generous.
