“Pulp fiction? Youve seen the movie now eat the food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

I was intrigued by the menu which includes a lot of references to Pulp Fiction. For me it had to be "The Big Kahuna Burger and the Five Dollar Shake". The burger was HUGE and outstanding quality. As to the shake, pretty much the best shake in town! All this in one of the oldest establishments in Reykjavik, go on, treat yourself.

“Oldie but a Goldie”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

The oldest coffee shop in Reykjavik looks a bit dark and grungy form the outside. However inside the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The decor looks as if it hasn't been changed from the 1950s and adds to the laid back atmosphere. You can sit at the bar, window booths or go upstairs to another eating/drinking area. Its a great place to get a beer, coffee or basic eats (homemade burgers, chicken, fish + puddings) while listing to chilled out music. The bar staff (especially Jeff) work really hard to make you welcome and look after you. Well worth a visit

“The oldest swinger in town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

We didn't eat here, only had coffee and a tea. But this is a place with atmosphere, history and attitude. It doesn't change much and neither should it. You can't buy ambiance like this, it has to be earned and you have to be worthy to experience it. The only reason we didn't spend more time there was because we had a tight schedule. We will be back.
