Spacious room, personal attention and a selection cheeses as part of the included breakfast that reveal our hosts' French sensibilities. They loaned me a warm wooly hat, which was invaluable on our adventures. I would recommend this well-located space to anyone who wants to enjoy Reykjavik. Cheers!

The guest house is placed in a quiet neighborhood just 8-10 minuts walking to the downtown area, our 3rd floor bedroom was big and comfortable, with a good view of west Reykjavik and the Pond, the shared bathroom was very clean.

Eveline was such nice and very helpful host, breakfast is abundant (but remember to ask if you want to make yourself a take-away sandwich...), and she also provided us extra towels for the Blue Lagoon.

The only black mark is some noise from airplanes, but not overnight fortunately! (city airport's runaway is about 1,5 km away).

Totally worth it for the price, I definitely recommend it.

Clean comfortable rooms just a few blocks from the downtown area. Eveline and Phillip are wonderful hosts. They serve a very good breakfast included in the rate, and Eveline will book any trips and reservations for you. I would not stay anywhere else in Reydjavik.

I had a great time in Iceland and Evelyne was a great host and very helpful. Our stay was jammed pack with tours and we ended up taking a two day tour which meant we had to cancel a night's stay at the guesthouse. Evelyne was very flexible and we were able to cancel one night's stay and she even let us keep some our bags at the guesthouse so we didn't have to carry it back and forth. The place was clean and it was always prepared with breakfast every morning. The guesthouse was filled with people judging by the shoes we saw at the end of the night upon our return but people are very respectful and quiet and it almost felt as if we were the only ones there! You wouldn't know it was filled with all sorts of interesting folks unless you bump into them during breakfast or later on in the evening as people are returning from their day. Evelyne is very helpful, I saw her helping others and setting them up with trips during my stay at the guesthouse as well.

This review comes almost a year late. 3 friends and I went to Baldursbra and were met with an overwhelmingly friendly reception. The rooms were spotless as were the shared bathrooms. Service was impeccable and Evelyne and her husband were a great help in organising tours for us and even woke up to give us an extra early breakfast the morning we left. An excellent, cost effective place to stay in Reykjavik

We arrived in Reykjavik at 6:30 in the Morning. We got to the Baldursbra Guesthouse around 8:00. Breakfast was waiting for us and we could check into our room immediately without any additional charge. We were only staying in Reykjavik one night (we were checking out Iceland on our way from Denver to London), leaving the next day at 4:30 PM. Evelyn helped us set up an excursion to see the Golden Circle, recommended a great fish & chip restaurant, got us to the Blue Lagoon on our way back to the airport, etc. The rooms are simple, but very clean. We had a shared bathroom (very clean) with a hot shower. The location is perfect as it is a short walk away from central Reykjavik, but just far enough away to be quiet.

I highly recommend Baldursbra Guesthouse and hope to stay hear again.
