The only negative about this lovely apartment was that we arrived late at night and left early the next morning, which didn't give us much time to enjoy it!
Right at the top of a quiet building in Eiriksgata, very easy to reach (even in a hire car in a strange city, driving on the wrong side of the road!) from Keflavik, and yet very easy walking distance from the big cathedral and downtown Reykjavik, this lovely light, airy apartment is a real find. Very well equipped kitchen allowed us to whip up a quick late meal, and a comfortable bed gave us a good night's sleep. The bathroom was a little odd, with toilet and handbasin in one room, and a huge spa bath, with shower over it, elsewhere, which meant that one was trekking around the apartment, but not a problem if you're travelling just with your partner although the apartment would sleep a third person on a fold-out in the living room.
We arrived to find the door unlocked and a welcoming note; as we had absolutely no orientation (and no map!) we took the liberty of calling the phone number of the owner, who gave us directions for finding a food store so we could buy the makings of dinner.
In summary, a great place, with a perfect location for anything in Reykjavik.
