“Great apartment in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

We stayed for 5 nights and found our 1 bedroom apartment really comfortable and suited our needs. The location is so central right on the main street, made it easy to pop back to the apartment during the day. All the reception staff we dealt with were very helpful and friendly. The apartment was large and spacious, separate lounge and dining areas which were well furnished.Staying so central we didn't need a car or to use any public transport to get around except when we went to the Kringlan Mall which is a bit further out of town. We found Icelandic restaurant prices very expensive so we ended up cooking simple meals in the apartment a few nights and the kitchen equipment was quite adequate for this. Big bathroom with shower and a large corner spa tub which was nice. It would be nice if the apartments had washing machines in them or at least in the building because Reykjavik has only one so called Laundromat that only has 3 machines, so we wasted quite a few hours getting much needed laundry done, quite a few tourists were griping about this. There was noise on the weekends from the bars below but we were expecting this from previous reviews and had ear plugs packed, it didn't really stop us sleeping though. I would definitely recommend these apartments when staying in Reykjavik.

This apartment hotel was perfectly situated in the heart of Reykjavik. Although on a busy street, it was quiet enough for our two children to get a good nights sleep. The apartment was beautiful and felt like walking into your own home after a long day of travelling. It is surrounded by great restaurants and from here it is a short walk to some of the best sights in Reykjavik.

The place is clean, nice and very spacious. Calling it a luxury apartment (with wifi and kitchenette) is really true. its a little on the expensive side, but then again, so is everything in Reykjavik....

The hotel staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. To the point where it was extremely impressive. I've never seen the staff go so far out of their way to make our stay in Iceland easier. That was definitely the highlight of my stay here. Especially the receptionist Jessica.

The location is literally in the heart of downtown. You could not be more centralized. The only drawback to the great location is that on Fridays and Saturdays you are right next to all the party-ers so if you're a light sleeper that could be an issue for you. The solution is to either go out yourself and have a few so you sleep deeper :) or bring some earplugs

Blink and you will drive right past it - but once you find it, you can't miss being in the thick of it all. Really great location, although if street facing can be a bit loud if you're not used to street noise. Surrounded by great restaurants, everything worth checking out is a stone's throw. A couple of draw backs - small parking lot in the back with no guaranteed space - on a weekend night you might have to hunt for a street space and sleeping in will be a no-no if you want to miss the meter maid. Also, the cleaning crew doesn't come every day and the kitchen is your responsibility. Not a biggie - unless you are a clean freak. Big shout out to Jessica the weekend receptionist - she is a never ending fountain of information - she spent time in New Jersey so knows what the American tourist is going to ask before knowing it yourself. Ask her before booking any tours for Northern Lights or such. BTW - beds are super comfortable as you melt into the featherbeds.

We stayed for 6 nights at the beginning of October. Highly impressed. After exploring the town on arrival we realised the great location of the accommodation. Rooms were modern and clean and equipped with everything we needed. The room had a Samsung Smart TV and Blu-ray player, microwave, kettle, hob, coffee maker and fridge. We had a walk in shower and there was even a hair dryer in the bathroom. Had a great view of the harbour and the surrounding mountains, views probably vary from apartment to apartment, but the location was everything as we were right in the thick of the action amongst the main hustle and bustle of the bars, restaurants and shops and walking distance from the Grayline tour office and departing coach car park. Rooms were cleaned and maintained daily and reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful weeks stay. After reading the reviews I was slightly worried but I have very few complaints. We didn't have a good view but the apartment was clean and comfortable. Think my main complaint was not having an electric kettle! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The apartments are so central. We did hear noise on the weekend but my ear plugs did the trick. Very quiet in the week. Would definitely recommend room with a view.

Nice room with new furnitures. Slept amazing in the bed, but recommend taking ear plugs with you because of the noise on the weekends. Great location right in the center, close to restaurants and shops. Friendly staff. Terrific hotel, would recommend it to my friends.
