“Lovely drinks and cakes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

We stopped here several times, not least as they are located near to Grey Line, so after booking various tours, we could then enjoy a fresh pot of tea and sample their lovely cakes. The staff are friendly and the service quick and efficient, with reasonable prices. As with all such establishments, fee Wi-Fi comes as standard.

“City coffee break”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

We had some coffee and tea while walking in the city. Nice, city-inspired decor and smiling staff made us feel welcome. Regular coffee was served from a Thermos and the taste wasn't the most fresh one. Chai tea latte very nice and hot. There were many locals having a cup of coffee.

“Delicious Coffee Friendly Vibe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

No worries, Starbucks. This "chain" is unlikely to sprout up everywhere. I have been to three of its outlets and they are each fantastic with much character and top quality coffee. I went to this particular cafe on day one after a red eye flight. I ordered a cappuccino and felt grateful to be there. The barista responded in kind and told me to help myself to free refills from their carafe. What a lovely way to begin my day. Kindness and great coffee and great people-watching yet quiet vibe.

“Delicious and ambiance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

This version of the chain is right in the Lækjartorg square. We had different kinds of coffee and both indulgent and "healthy" square cake like snacks - one with lots of chocolate and one with all kinds of different nuts and grains. Both were delicious.

The square outside is historic and large. We met friends and were comfortable hanging out with them. It also has free wifi.

“Great little coffee shop.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

The previous reviewer seems to have mistaken the location of the coffee shop they visited. This is a review for the correct location, a ground-floor shop right on Laekjartorgi (the little "town square" just off of Laekjargata).

And hey, it's really nice! You can people-watch through the big windows, the coffee was fantastic, they have these addictive little cookies at all their locations called 'Sara' (cookie, chocolate mousse, and chocolate ganache--much lighter than it sounds, actually) that I highly recommend. Their macchiato was perfect, and they even have little 'Te & Kaffi' branded fleece blankets if it's chilly (which it wasn't) so you can get extra cozy.
