First of all, there are at least 3 hotels in the city called Hotel Reykjavik, so we had a hard time finding the place. Location is pretty good, easy walking distance to the main shopping and dining district. Room was okay... It was a loft room with a little spiral staircase to the sleeping area. Full of windows and skylights, which seemed cool at first, until we realized that in April in Iceland, it doesn't get dark until late, and then the sun comes up really early. Also faced an apartment building right across the courtyard, and no real curtains. Bed was not great. Walls were very thin, lots of noise from neighbors, voices and TVs. Wifi was pretty good, at least for a bit of email checking and googling. Breakfast was great, parking was easy (in a garage). Fine for a one-night stay (and using Best Western points), but would not be able to stay there more than one night due to noise.
