As a native Icelander I have been on quite many trips all over Iceland. However I had never gone on a superjeep tour before and needless to say, I would recommend this to anyone. We drove up Mýrdalsjökull, looked at popular tourist attractions and had lunch in Vík. It was really special for me to be on top of the glacier as I´ve only heard people I know talk about it. Once we got up there we could see the national rescue team (Björgunarsveitin) practicing and the view on top was clear. However, few minutes later it became very misty in all of a sudden and the visibility was so bad we couldn´t see anything. This is something I´ve only heard people talk about, but is something you don´t understand until you experience it. However, Georg´s experience kicked in and he had no problem finding the tracks with the help of the GPS.
It was also lovely to see Skógarfoss and Seljalandsfoss, but somehow I Urriðafoss had never been on my radar before. Driving on the beach near Vík and seeing the cave there was also amazing.
Georg is an amazing and knowledgable guide who makes sure there is not a dull moment.
