“Really nice place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

We had sandwiches and veggieburgers for lunch here and the food was really good. The service was also really nice and the decor is fun and interesting and functional. Really liked the place!
The prices were good for the value.

There are books and games on the shelves for customers to use, which makes the place feel cosy and like you could easily stay there for hours just by yourself. The wifi also works fine. The bathroom was really nicely decorated and there is a childrens play area downstairs.

“Don't worry, the washers are downstairs!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

The guide book says that this is a laundromat, and the washing machines are hidden away for the evening, but they are actually cleverly hidden downstairs by the toilets for daytime use. A lively cafe style bar and restaurant, with a varied menu which catered for full meals and snack type eating also. It was busy when we visited, but the service was quick and efficient. Good quality food, reasonably priced.

“Just go there”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

One of the lads in our group happened upon this place while looking for somewhere to do his laundry. And what a find! We ate there three times and were happily surprised every time. They have a great range of hearty wholesome meals - and they serve Leffe among a wide range of beers! The sandwiches and burgers are sumptuous, so is the aptly titled Dirty Breakfast and the heaving plate of nachos. Didn't have any of the desserts but they looked pretty damn good too.
It's a busy spot, but that's always a sign that the food is good, and it's worth the wait. Just go there!

“A good place to sooth jet lag”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

My friend and I got to Iceland at 6:00 am and our hotel room wasn't ready. We dropped our bags and went in search of breakfast. Happily we found this little gem. It was warm and inviting. There were local people there for a cuppa with friends and others working on their computers. The staff was very nice and we got a menu in English. Breakfast was tasty. I had the oatmeal and a cup of tea. It hit the spot after a long flight and little sleep. This really is a laundromat! Make sure you check out he downstairs with the machines and play area for children. There even is a cozy book nook for little ones. Framed photos on the walls were of laundromats from all over the world. My friend saw one that was near her son's New York City apartment! It is a small world after all.

“Good change from the formal dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

Had visited this cafe a few times on our trip November 2012. Great to have normal food, as a lot of the dining in Iceland we felt was quite formal - which was lovely, but nice to have french toast, bacon etc.
