“Love this place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Always busy, great vibe, good food, well priced. Best of all is you can simply relax and enjoy a drink or meal with friends or just zone out by yourself. Will always remember this place

“Nice place for a bite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

This is conveniently situated near the tourist office, main bank and some souvenir shops, and close to some of the sites such as the Parliament building, Settlement and Reykjaviktorn.
It's an ideal place for a snack, coffee, tea etc. and as that type of establishment it's very good.
A very nice, good-sized and wholesome toasted cheese and ham sandwich costs around 7 GBP (10 USD, 8 EU) and a good
burger and chips is around 10 GBP.
That's about par for Reykjavik. We made this our 'short stay' cafe during our visit, being there on 3 days.
Nothing super-special but good food and service.

“Hipster Haven”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Loved this place because it was mostly locals (that being said, most places were filled with locals when filled as it was still winter when we were in Iceland.) It's definitely a hipster joint. Were there on a Thursday evening and it was packed. But it was fun and we met some great people. Bar service was slow but food and beer were great. The vegan sandwich was amazing (watch out, they love their garlic in Iceland.) Got check after asking a few times and paid on the way out, and the check was not itemized. Who knows what we paid for and if was right, but after a few beers, full stomach and being so happy, we couldn't care less!

“Superb pancakes for breakfast on Sunday!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

We found this cafe by accident but glad we did. We missed breakfast in our hotel for a lay-in and decided to have pancakes on the Sunday. We shared 5 pancakes with lashings of maple syrup! We had superb coffee and fresh juice too. Delicious.
We then returned to the cafe later in our holiday to have a quick evening meal before going on a Northern Light trip. We had fish of the day which was salmon.
Inexpensive and delicious.

“Enjoyable visit, tasty food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

The decor style is "American Diner" and the menu certainly reflects that. I went with a friend for breakfast and ordered the pancakes. My friend ordered the "dirty breakfast". It was a hearty meal and the waitress was very friendly.

As an addendum, we arrived the day before at 9:50 pm and tried to order food at 9:56 pm, to be told the kitchen closes at 10 pm. We left having not eaten any food, disappointed!
