“Kind of lame”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2011

This small (not that size necessarily matters) building can't seem to decide whether it wants to be a dirty joke or a museum.

“NO LONGER IN REYKJAVIK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2011

Really wanted to go, but it's now moved to some place in the North and is only open in summer. I only figured this out right before we left, and was very disappointed...

“Quirky Reykjavik adventure!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2010

If you want to do something different than the *usual* on your vacation, this is it! There is a fee to get in and look around (I don't remember what it was, i think maybe around $20-25 USA; it's not THAT big of a place). If you are interested in biology, you should visit this place. If you are the type of person to get on the big-bus, 50+people, Golden Circle tours and only eat at the hotel restaurant, this probably isn't the place for you. If critters in jars of formaldehyde freak you out, don't come here. This is a museum that shows 100's of preserved male sexual organs from 100's of different species of animals. That's it. That's what you're paying for. If you want to get a picture of your short Aunt Tilda next to a 4-foot whale-phallus, this is the place for you. Personally, I enjoy doing/seeing quirky things on vacation and this was a must-see! You will remember this FOREVER. (And have bragging rights forever, too!)
