“Small beautiful place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

This place is pretty small place from the city center. The only way to go there is running or the bus. The property is adjacent to the University of Reykjavik. The view over the fjord and the next town Kopavogur. This is visæll little place with pretty good food so where is best to reserve a table.

“Bright and Delicious!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

I wouldn't have found this restaurant on my own but it was recommended to us by a friend and we were happy it was. It is located behind the Hotel Natura in Reykjavik. It is very bright and airy and has all glass walls overlooking the water. There is also lot of seating outside although it was a little chilly when we were there. I had the fried plaice sandwich with remoulade which was fantastic and a very big portion. Others at the table enjoyed their signature fish soup as well as the salted cod salad and everyone was very happy with their meals. For dessert everyone had the Sara cakes and they were phenomenal! We were there for lunch on a weekday and the restaurant was packed with diners which tells you something...and mostly locals. I would definitely go back.

“A Taste of Iceland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

'Delicious and beautifully presented fish and lamb dishes and some excellent bottled beers from Akureyri. It's well worth the short trip out from the city centre for a real taste of Iceland near the beach.

“Great food with great view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

At the beginning, we chose this restaurant simply because of its sea view, but later we found out the food was unexpectedly good as well. We had a soup with mixed seafood and a dish of lamb shank. The soup was delicious and consisted of quite a variety of seafood; and the lamb was soft and smooth. The service was good as well as the scenic view of the sunset :)

“Great Icelandic food hidden away- a must to visit and enjoy.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013 via mobile

Walked from hotel Reykjavik Natuara-only about 10 minutes. Walked in with no reservation and was greeted friendily and immediately seated. Food was fast and fresh with great presentation and flavour. I wasn't expecting the quality of food we received considering it's a "Bistro" but this place was a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth a visit for some good Icelandic food-this is where the locals eat.
