My husband and I went here before the symphony. We planned it poorly (but I will explain that later). We both decided to get the Around Iceland Menu for dinner. It came with 2 appetizers, 1 main course and dessert. The first appetizer was monkfish along with scallops. We both though it was wonderful and melted in your mouth. The second course was Arctic Char sashimi with roe. Another winner! It also melted in your mouth. The 3rd course and main dish was lamb 3 ways. I don't normally eat lamb, but this was wonderful and the second time I had lamb on this trip. It was wonderfully cooked and so good! This is where we ran into a time crunch. They don't open until 6pm for dinner and we had 7:30 tickets for the symphony (5 minute walk). It was 7pm when we got our main course. We still had the dessert course to get. They offered to hold our dessert until we returned from the symphony. We paid our bill, almost ran the whole way to the symphony. Then, once the symphony was over, returned back to get our dessert. It was very nice and understanding of them to offer to do this for us. It was a wonderful treat to have dessert after the concert. We had coffee and dessert. Everything was amazing! The service was great and accommodating for us. The restaurant is nice and cozy inside. I agree with other reviewers that it was a bit pricy, but for a special night out, it was PERFECT! Loved it and if/when we get back to Reykjavik, we will definitely be back.
