“A gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

The food is of good quality with many healthy options. The service is excellant and you are made to feel very welcome by the staff. I personally feel the prices should be higher therefore you get very good value for money. We were surprised to that everything is organic. The decor and atmosphere is also quite soothing. We have been here for dinner twice already and I would highly recommend this place to all.

“Reasonable value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

One branch of this restaurant didn't seem to be open but we went for lunch thinking it was vegetarian.
Not everything is vegetarian but there was an excellent soup and then a salad bar, to which one could go more than once. The staff were very friendly and helpful and, in a city where things are expensive, we felt we had value for money.

“Best kept secret in Reykjavik”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014 via mobile

You must go for dinner and try the chicken itis divine. If you go for noon they serve soup buffet. The restuant has very relaxed atmosphere. If you like something different you like this place.

“mwah”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

as the place just moved to another location, we searched for quite a long time to find the new location, silly, as Reykajavik is not thát big, to find out eventually that the new place was actually located next to our airbnb-place... ;-)
anyway, the restaurant.... well, the waitress was really helpful and charming, the food was okay, but not more than that (in my view), some corn and beans (probably out of a can) not prepared in a special way, some salads, well, nothing special,
there were three soups, one of which was really nice
bright lights in the restaurant, no cosy seats,
nope

Hello we wanted just to say that our beans are not out of a cans, its all fresh and made from scratch. And I highly recommend that you ask the waitress before you make your own decision. And we have sofas in the restaurant for comfortable seating. Thank you very much Kryddlegin Hjortu

“Value home cooking in an expensive city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

Reykjavik is an expensive city. Even fast food is prepared with solid ingredients is not inexpensive. There is no McDonalds, thank goodness.

This restaurant prepares home cooking at an excellent price. Particularly go before four pm and enjoy the soup and salad buffet for under around sixteen American dollars. The bread is homebaked, the soups are hearty, delicious, and prepared on site from fresh ingredients. The salad selections are plentiful and delicious. I particularly loved the barley salad, who would have thought? The atmosphere in the location on Skúlagata is particularly good and has better hours than the one closer to the water.

Overall, highly recommended. We loved this place and went for meals there twice during a short trip to Reyjkavik.
