“Amazing heartfelt tour with Oli.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013 via mobile

We spent 2 nights in Lake Myvatn and had a fabulous introduction to the area through our guide, Oli, a native son. The waterfalls, steam pots, pseudo craters, pillars of lava, northern lights and the soothing Nature Baths were amazing. Oli provided a wealth of knowledge about the geology, flora, fauna, stories of the Yule Lads, customs, economics, and patiently answered all our questions (even coaching us in a few basic Icelandic words.) We hope to return and enjoy more time in this area.

“Snowmobiling!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

I have to say, I was a little apprehensive to try this but 'ya only live once'. We were greeted by Kata on our tour bus from the airport to our hotel and she mentioned a few of the tours we could participate in. We paid $309 USD for 2 people to be picked up at 10am and were taken to a bed and breakfast about a 30 minute drive from the hotel. The scenery is gorgeous and we were dressed very warmly on our own. When we got there we were given a whole body jump suit that zipped, a skull mask, and a helmet. They also had gloves and a boot cover for shoes if you weren't wearing the correct shoes. We were 2 to a skidoo and went out on trails for about 30 minutes then switched drivers and went back, also stopping at a waterfall. After our guide made us hot chocolate/coffee/tea to warm us up. Well worth this!! Totally awesome and my first time snowmobiling....Incredible!!!

“You can't go wrong with the guys at Saga!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

We just spent several days in the Akureyri region and took various tours with Saga. Every one of their guides were extremely pleasant and well-informed. They went out of their way to make our visit special. We will be back and will definitely use their services again!

“Lake Myvatn Day Tour”

Great day, made more so by Siggy / Ziggy, our driver. He was funny, very knowledgeable, and drove us home safely through some intense blizzards!

“Lake Myvatn Day Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

This is my first review on Trip Advisor, having used in so many times over the years for reference but never for comment. However, our day with Anton last week, was one of the best tours that my husband and I have been fortunate to experience. Iceland is an amazing country, but all the places that were visited gave us the opportunity to see far more than we ever anticipated. Anton and his colleague were clearly passionate about everything Iceland has to offer; their knowledge about all apects of the country whether it be geological, economic or related to culture was impressive, their enthusiasm and energy was infectious. We can't thank them enough for making our days so memorable and look forward to returning very soon.
