We stopped off at Jokulsarlon as part of a trip to South Iceland. We were lucky to visit twice - once on the way to Hofn, and again on the way back to Reykjavik two days later. Even in two days you could notice the difference.
There are so many different angles to view the lagoon, glacier and the icebergs, every picture is different. We visited in October so no tours were offered, but I would have liked to sail around the lagoon in the zodiac tour.
There is a small coffee/gift shop on-site, which has washrooms.
Don't forget to go across the road to the black sand beach and see the icebergs on the sand.
