This hotel is very well located, a short distance from the Market Square. That is probably the only positive aspect of this dated hotel. The room is big but furnished with very old and low quality furniture. Old furniture could have been charming had it been classy, that is not the case. The hotel has no A/C that is unacceptable for the pricing of this place and keeping the window open is not an option because of the street noise. The bathroom is big but getting in and out of the bathtub was an ordeal since it was quite high and slippery. In addition, not all “superior rooms” have the promised safe, my room did not have one so I had to go everywhere with my passport and other valuables. The breakfast, what a disappointment! The quality of the food is just bad, and do not dare to walk out of the breakfast room with any food item because you will be charged 14 euros, according to a sign on top of the juice machine.
Another sorry piece about of this hotel is the TV service, other that BBC, there are no channels in English, and movies are all pay per view, so basically if your language is not finnish, you can only watch BBC over and over again if you do not want to spend a high price for a movie.
What an awful surprise and disappointment this place was.
