“Nice location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

The spa area was disappointment, quite small, with baby pool and larger pool. During our visit there were plenty of older people. Note that from the hotel there is a short walk outside to the spa building-bring your slippers.
The room was good, excellent bed. Private sauna and balcony in the room, very good!
Typical breakfast. No night life at all, only small Pub nearby.

The hotel has beautiful location next to the lake and marina. The spa is quite small, with baby pool and larger pool with 1,30m deep. Some toys and floting devices around, so kids that can't swim are holding on those. During our visit there were plenty of families, so I would not select this one for couple's getaway. Note that from the hotel there is a short walk outside to the spa building-bring your slippers.
Room recently renovated, clean and spacious. One sofa bed for two kids as an extra bed - not the best for kids that sleep restless. Bathrobes for both adults and kids were included, one-size slippers for extra charge.
Parking is not free. Breakfast was typical and little crowded with some items running out. Self service waffle station was the kid's favourite. Checking out took some time, as there was only one person at reception.
Staying here, together with the visit to Särkänniemi, was a good family mini-holiday, but the hotel and spa alone would not make us come again.

We stayed over weekend in apartment hotel side with a group of friends. Rooms were quite worn and outdated, definitely not as pretty as in pictures. Service in breakfast was a big disappointment, the chef seemed really rude when we accidentally were searching for a free table before paying. Good thing is that price is quite reasonable when you want to fit group of people together in same place for a weekend, for example to have a sauna evening, which normal hotels cannot do.

We were a little disapointed with this hotel. The young woman in the reception seemed bored and fed-up with her life when we arrived. We also learned that they charge 10e/day for a crib and 6e/day for parking your car.
The room was nothing special, but it was OK and it was kept clean. There were bottles in the fridge but they were really pricey as well as slippers but also they cost extra.
Breakfast was good, but crowded. Pool area was a real disapointment. I would recommend staying someplace else, not worth the money.

Hotel + time share apartments are situated on a beautiful spot next to big lake and still close to the City of Tampere. There are many buildings that belong to this hotel and their condition varies a lot where they are situated and when they are done.

Hotel and Spa are quite quiet ones. The main building is having a big renovation in the apartments (apartment/week) and it will take till 4/2014? So there will be some noise here and there.

I really hope that they would do a little facelift for the Spa also!

Unfortunately the breakfast is not in the standard as it should be...

Be ware if you rent an apartment if spa and breakfast are included or not.

During the summer it can get very hot in some apartments - there is no air-conditioning!

1-bedroom time share. Condo was very nice but no instructions for any appliances in English. Had no idea if dishes were microwave safe or not. Free wireless Internet was very weak, signal faded every few minutes.

We stayed at the hotel side of the complex fro two nights. Service was good, not excellent, but good. The room as such was nice enough and the balcony was a nice touch!

There was nothing extra, no pen, no paper and nothing more than some industrial shower gel (only used it for washing my hands, as it left you smelling as if your da's after shave from the 1980's had attacked you!). Bathrobes were nice and soft but you had to pay extra for slippers.

The spa and the umm.. activity cave (as they called it - loosely translated) were in the main building, so you needed to go outside to get there from the hotel building. This wasn't such an inconvenience, just that a pair of slippers or flipflops would have come in handy...

We had a Do not disturb -sign on our door until about noon and by 3pm we still hadn't had housekeeping drop by, we had to ask for them at the reception. Mind you, they came in almost straight away!

The spa was OK, nothing special though. If you just fancy a swim and some jacuzzi time. The other activities... well, I suppose the gym was adequate: they had a treadmill, some equipment (Technigym, the good stuff, methinks! :) ) and dumbells ranging from 1kg to 12kg. Everything worked OK, but the space was a bit cramped.

They also had a badminton court -ish type of space and you could get the equipment from the reception. We got lucky as it was just us in the cave, so we got to play like kids and hence we tried out football, basketball, badminton, table tennis and all that jazz. But I can only imagine what a hell.. horrible place the cave would be if you only had two or three families with kids in there...

Would I recommend the place? Not really. Go somewhere else. But if you did go there, it's not exactly bad. It's just that you'd probably be a bit better off somewhere else.

Oh and the double bed was alla funny: when himself moved as much as his pinky finger, I felt as though I was on open sea! Very strange. If you're prone to sea sickness, make sure to sleep with someone who doesn't move around much!!!! :D

Room Tip: Ask for a lake-view room as high up as possible!
