This is a wonderful place to visit. Once we made our way around the construction equipment and into the woods, we were transported to a different time. Do make sure to talk to a docent. We heard some great stories and learned lots from the man who was there when we were. It seems a simple place for a Tsar, but it is easy to understand why he loved it.
The lodge itself is not very large but is beautifully constructed and furnished with natural materials. There are a couple of other buildings but the other one to note is the chapel. If you have time, sit on the porch of the fishing lodge and soak up the atmosphere. You will be refreshed.
