Had dinner at Olo on its first night in its new location just in front of the water front whe the tour boats and the various ferry boats leave from next to the town hall.
An amazing night. Two menus quote "two and a half hours long and the other three!" It took four hous in the end! but we are not complaining, each course came nicely timed, not too quick and not too slow. Every single course in our 10 course meal was full of surprises - taste, combinations and design. Let's of local food - Finnish ideas from all over the country along with a few other Scandinavian ideas. And the price was amazingly reasonable for what we had but NOT cheap!
The paint was still a bit smelly as they had only just opened but all the staff - I think they had everyone in for the first night - were everywhere, helpful but not in your face, perhaps a lot of unnecessary chatting between staff in front of customers, a little off putting. But in the name of giving us a good bit of service ...OK. Interior design was nice, fresh possibly a few too dark spots and if they are going to play some music on their nice Bose speakers would be nice if they chose something just a little more sophisticated and not with such a strong beat.
Wine list, sorry cannot comment on, as sadly was under doctor's orders not to drink any alcohol. But what labels we saw I cannot say it was too bad. And they did not go overboard with trying to serve you anything and everything.
Bottom line for a night out at one of the best restaurants in town, it was well worth it and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a first class place to eat .
