This fish restaurant located in a basement close to the open air market usually offers relaxed fine dining. Their special Christmas menu, however, did not quite fulfill our expectations. The service was friendly, but this time too hasty since the house was full. The buffet marking the first course was pretty ordinary, and lacking clarity. Some very strongly marinated herring and whitefish, smoked whitefish with no salt, plain shrimp, plus Waldorf salad and mushroom salad which did not taste all that fresh. Our second course, grilled pike perch with white wine sauce over a bed of beans and crispy fennel slices, was delicious but unfortunately only luke warm. The wine selection is good but pricy. The dessert, choclate-almond cake with black currant sauce tasted heavenly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for fish and seafood lovers, BUT not during the holiday season. Namely, it turned out, that their Nov-Dec Christmas menu is part of a sales campaign with a coupon offer of "two for the price of one". If you had the coupon, it is good value. If not, you may feel a bit dissapointed.
