My husband and I are frequent travelers...and we like to stay in places that are both affordable and conveniently located. The Holiday inn in Helsinki Central is such a place...we've stayed there twice..and plan to return next year as well. The facility is very nicely appointed..the rooms are comfortable...but, in our opinion, the location is its chief charm. Alighting from the bus that brings you into the city from the wonderful Helsinki Airport, one will see the hotel, only steps away! Couldn't be more convenient...as the train station is right there as well.

This hotel has a perfect and convenient location in the city center, facing the railway station & the bus station (to & from airport). My husband and I found it very easy to explore the city from the hotel, walking of course. And the hotel was very quiet though trains are just at the back of it.

Room was beautifully designed, not spacious but convenient enough. Beds and pillows were comfy.

Staff were helpful. We had smooth check in & out. And there was free wifi in the room and lobby with a 24h or 12h username and password, which we got from reception.

This is a typical Holiday Inn, friendly staff, and a standard restaurant. The rooms are hot and dry and if you open the windows (only a little is possible) there's a lot of noice if your room has a street view. So always ask for an inside view, not a street room. prices are OK, taxis plenty in front. Nothing fancy, but it is OK.

Good location for the airport bus as it drops off straight in front of hotel. Room was clean if not a little bit dated. Lots of construction going on around the hotel at the time. Quite expensive for what you get, but this is Helsinki!
