“Great Little Hotel in the Heart of Helsinki”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

This hotel/hostel was a great find. We are a family of 3 with a 10 month old. The price was great considering the location. It is a quick walk from the railway station and we were able to make it there with all our stuff without a cab. The elevator is VERY tiny, and this hotel is located on the upper floors of the building. If you are traveling with a lot of stuff or with small children, this might be a disadvantage. We were able to manage though.

The rooms were very nice, and recently upgraded. They have a lot of Ikea furniture, but not the cheapest stuff. The bathroom was terrific. The TV and free internet was a bonus. The internet actually worked, unlike many other places we've stayed at. The only downside to the room were the pillows. They were very thin and unsupportive, and seemed to be the only thing they cheaped out on.

The location couldn't be better. The hotel is located on the side of the shopping Forum and there is an exit from the Forum right beside the entrance to the hotel. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and bars near by. The hotel offers a baby sitting service, and if we had of stayed more than one night we might have actually used it.

Overall, we'd recommend this hotel and would gladly stay there again.

Room Tip: Opt for the bigger room if you are traveling with children. There was enough room in there for us to...

We arrived at the railway station, which is just five minutes on foot from the hotel. It was easy to find the way to the destination. The hotel offered everything that we needed and everything(shopping, museums, restaurants and other attractions) is so close and accessible from there. The room was clean. At the reception the guy there was ready to help.

Excellent location and good breakfast (with extra cost) in nearby restaurant. Room furniture new from Ikea but room clean and tidy. Only - thing was the noice coming from corrindor, cause door was thin? Then there was some repairwork on the building and we did not got any water for 2 hours... It was not suppose to be in our room. well it did dot bother us this time, cause we went to restaurant for dinner, but I could have washed my teeth before going. Helpful young people in the reseption near our room (606).

Hi,

I stayed at Hotelli Finn at 17th Feb. 2013 in a two persons room (separate beds, but can be moved to join together). The Hotel is perfectly located directly in the City centre, 5min from Trainstation or from Kamppi bus station. The personnel is friendly, the rooms are very clean and seem freshly refurbished. Beds are very comfortable. TV and WiFi are on the room for free.
The charge was moderate considering the location (70€ for two persons).
Unfortunately there is no breakfast directly at Hotelli Finn and the rooms lack a wardrobe, which is no problem for a one night stay but may be uncomfortable for a longer stay.
Due to this only 4 points, but in this price-range a real recommendation!!!

We stayed at Hotel Finn on night. Rooms were clean, service was nice. They don't have a kitchen or serve any breakfast. Rooms were small but clean. Rooms are decorated in the style of 60's and the shower was from the 60's also with its flexible hose (this means that you can't rotate the shower or you will have no water at all). Location is perfect. Bed was good, pillows weren't. It's just an OK hotel right in the center of Helsinki.

We stayed one night at Hotell Finn in March 2013. It's located in one of the many art deco houses, right in the city center (5 min from the central station, 1 min from Stockman), on the 6th floor. The room was small with two beds, a small bedside table, a hanger and a flatscreen TV. There was a draft from the windows but when we asked for extra blankets we got them straight away. The beds are very comfy and the room was nicely decorated. The bathroom is also small but newly renovated. There is no shower curtain and taking a shower means that everything is wet but the heated floor dries the water faster then expected. Schampoo, conditioner and soap is provided for you. The front door is locked after 8pm and you use your key card to enter. If you arrive late you will get a code to use at the door. They also have free WiFi for all guests.
There is no restaurant at the hotel but they have a deal with a restaurant next door where you can get breakfast (smaller buffet) for 5€. The staff is very friendly and help us print our theater tickets. For a shorter stay I highly recommend this hotel. If you're in Helsinki for a longer stay you might miss some of the comforts you find at bigger hotels after a few days, but for one or two nights the location makes up for the lack of luxury.

The hotel offers excellent service and location right in the middle of Helsinki. The double room is a clean room and the service was nice. The hotel provides cheap prices compared to the lifestyle and other hotels in Helsinki but offers maximum quality and efficiency. Would always choose this hotel if I am going back to Helsinki.
