“For a relaxing trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

A pleasant, comfortable hotel. The staff are very polite and helpful. The breakfast is good and plentiful with variety. The only cons are the price and the fact that they charge for wifi in your room, at this price you would expect to have wifi included. They also need more bikes as this was mentioned in the advert, but there were none available when I asked for one and it was one of the factors in my choice of hotel.

First off the hotel is a bit dated and it shows in the room. But don't let that fool you, it is a excellent hilton hotel. The staff is attentive and efficient both at check in and check out. The room was outlooking the river and the view is stunning! Even the room feels a bit dated, it has all things needed.
Breakfast is excellent and the hotel has a complimentary business center with computer and printer which is a plus. We used the printer to buy ferry ticket.
The hotel is not in the city center (which is train station and southward to the harbour), but easy reachable with several tram lines and metro. It is 3 tram stops from the train station, so it is no problem.

Room Tip: Choose a room outlooking the river. High floor as possible

We had a great experience at this hotel. The facilities are beautiful, and our room was great. The breakfast was incredible. Lots of choices and it also overlooks the water. Also, the location of the hotel is fantastic. We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel. It is also on the water, so the views are great. We are Hilton Gold members, and we had access to the Executive Lounge. That was an incredible bonus. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to Helsinki.

Visited this hotel in December. The snow was amazing and the hotel on a whole was average. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff helpful. It is conveniently located near the centre.

As others have said the hotel itself is in need of a bit of a facelift. To sum up. Nice location but for the price it could be better.

This hotel is well located close to the heart of Helsinki. Unfortunately years of wear and tear are clearly visible. It is obvious that this has affected the staff negatively because they seem to have losed their service orientation. The breakfast buffet is standard and doesn't give any kicks. You can easily find better hotels for the same price in Helsinki.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel

If in Helsinki - choose no further as this is, in my mind, one of the best hotels in Helsinki. It is very Hilton (the facilities and location are great) and it is very Finnish (the attitude of the staff towards the guests is excellent with respect and no fuss, polite and very efficient). Briefly - I love it. More in details: cosy, rooms are spacy and with spacy bathrooms, international guests, the staff speaks several languages, nice swimming pool (if you come early in the morning, you may have the entire pool area for yourself), perfect breakfast, and even if you are a bit late you may be sure you will get at least juice and coffee, possible to stay a bit longer and check-in a bit earlier (that was the case with me). Many green spots are around as well as the landmarks. Public transport is just few steps away. Lovely, one of my favourite hotels.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the yard are very quiet (the seagulls may be the only source of noise and only if you o...

If you want to step back in time this hotel is for you. We were reminded of 70s and 80s TV shows. The room was large, clean, comfortable and had a stunning view but it is so in need of an upgrade. Helsinki and Finland are famous for design, unfortunately this hotel does not showcase the best designs in Finland!
Breakfast was OK but nothing to write home about. If i was staying in Helsinki again I'd look for a quirky apartment on AirBnB.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view.
