“Great stay, nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2012

We stayed here for three nights and we found it to be a very nice hotel.
Large room for three, two adults and a teenager.
Clean, comfortable, all that you can ask for.
And a beautiful view from our room.
Staff in lobby and restaurant and gym ever so nice, helpful and cunning.
Breakfast buffé was great, all you can ask for.
Coffee was just the way we wanted; black, strong and so tastefull.
Scrambled eggs, bacon (perfect crispy), yoghurt, fresh bread, croissants, fruitsalads, et cetera.
The saunas, pool and the gym on top floor is a must.
Use them before going to bed, and you will have the best sleep, ever.
Location? Two minutes walk to metro and tramstation.
And to middle of the city of Helsinki by tram or metro, two stations, approx five minutes.
When we go to Helsinki next time, we will stay here again, for sure.
(Only negative is the price for a dinner at this hotel. Take a five minutes walk, and you will pay a third for great food as well.)

Not your best Hilton, but convenient, quiet, comfortable and within walking distance of Helsinki's centre.
Relatively large rooms well lit (large windows) and good lighting.
The bathroom feels old, although the shower is good.
Breakfast buffet is OK

I stayed here for 6 nights last month while attending a conference. The hotel is about 20 minutes by taxi from the airport. Check in and check out were easy. Front desk was very helpful when I asked for restaurant recommendations and directions. (There is a Hugh Jackman lookalike working at the front desk!) My room was clean, although it appears to be outdated but that doesn't bother me. There is a digital safe in the room that I used to store my passport. I did laundry and my clothes was returned on the same day, granted that I called in time. The breakfast buffet is good and had enough variety--a lot of cheese, bread, and fruit. The hotel is walking distance, about 10-15 minutes to the city center.

My one "con" for this stay is the hair dryer in the bathroom. Mine was really weak and so was my female co-worker. I couldn't style my hair the way I want because the air wasn't strong enough. However, my male co-worker said his works just fine. Go figure.

The one odd thing we noticed is there are no shows on TV late at night. I don't know if it's Finnish stations not broadcasting at night or it's the hotel. I didn't ask the front desk because it didn't matter to me. If you're jet lag and want to watch TV, either ask the front desk about it or you're out of luck.

This hotel was in a good location, easy walking distance into the city centre and to nearby shops. A tired old lady is the best way to describe the hotel - you can see that she has had her day and needs a facelift. Nevertheless, it is clean and efficiently run and will meet the needs of most people. Executive level lounge is OK and worth the extra you pay for this access.

PS: i ordered a taxi from the front desk, the girl there told the trip to viking line will cost about 15 euros, the taxi driver said 50-70!!!!! so i went back to hotel and the girl talked to the driver. the trip costed 16.6 euros)))) so

An average place to stay and really in need of being updated - felt like the 1980's. But a good location, lovely view and good staff.

Arrived Helsinki by train from St. Petersburg. First impression of the hotel was it felt like a boutique hotel. Old but well maintained and clean. I accidentally press the movie button without watching any movies ( we were on tour and our sked was pretty hectic). Asked front desk if charges can be waived. The front desk was very polite, called my room to inform me that she will waived the charges. I forgot to asked her name but Thank you so much.
Breakfast was very basic. As we were traveling thru russia and scandinavia staying at different hotels. I can say this hotel served very basic breakfast which all added up to a feel of a boutique hotel.
