My wife and I stayed at the Helsinki Glo Art for 3 nights in June. The hotel is an excellent value in a generally expensive city and overall our experience was very positive. The staff was efficient and friendly. Our room was very comfortable with lots of hi-tech touches and an excellent bed. Breakfast was very good with extended hours on the weekend and lots of well presented choices. The location was satisfactory as well, just a 10-minute walk to the Esplanade in the center of the city. The only slight negative about the GLO Art is the physical lay-out of the property. It is actually two hotels - the old historical building that contains the lobby and a modern building with the majority of the guests rooms. The buildings are separated by a little roadway that leads to an inner courtyard and access to the modern wing requires multiple uses of your guest key-card and numerous sliding and swinging doorways, some electronic. It's not a big deal, but it was unusual and a little annoying on occasion. Still, I would recommend the GLO Art and stay here again if visiting Helsinki.
