“Perfect location, nice breakfast, nice room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

Great location nearby the railway station. Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and modern rooms. Beautiful bar, little bit expensive (but everything is in Helsinki). The spa for guests is not what I expected from a hotel of this category.

Situated in the city centre and right next to the Bussterminalen, the hotel is beautfiul and elegant. It height peierces the sky and it is a thing of beauty at night. Its beauty is reflected within as well with beautiful spacious rooms, lovely furnishing and lovely views of the coty from your room. Comfortable beds with a nice array of television channels includng both the BBC and CNN news channels to keep you entertained when you are in your room. Spacious bathrooms with the usual toiletries like bath gel and shampoo and conditoner. I love the towel rack that can be heated with a switch. I would have loved a floor mat and some moisturiser as well but these were not provided for in the room. For some reason my room came with a baby crib. My guess is that a previous guests requested it and it was not removed when i checked in. But small issue as the room was spacious enough. Check in took a little longer then usual but when it was my turn, the staff were polite and efficient. Very wide breakfast spread with a choice of either ready made coffee in pots or from the machine with choice of expresso, regular kafe or american coffee or cafe lattes, etc... Kudos to the brwakfast staff. Very courteous and efficient despite the sheer number of people during breakfast. The gym was a disappointment though. With only a few machines and no free weights, it seems out of sync with the rest of the hotel. But the view from the gym is lovely. Highly recommended.

It is the second time I stay at this hotel and I love the quality of the beds. The rooms have been really good, however second time the bathroom had a sulfur smell to it. The service of the staff is excellent. I enjoyed both the breakfast and the food in the restaurant. The portier was really sweet and service minded.

I have stayed here over 3 months from January to December 2014 and it's a good business hotel. Rooms are generally clean (it really depends on the house cleaner). The bathtub is deep and provides a relaxing soak at the end of a long day. The bed is comfortable. The breakfast spread is good with options for cold cuts, cereal, fruits, as well as an omelette bar. Concierge is friendly. Staff is polite.

The location is central, close to the train station. And a short walk to downtown.

The decor is minimalist Nordic with Finnish design elements throughout.

Room Tip: Ask for room on the quiet side (inner courtyard), you'll see other rooms but you will not hear t...

We stayed for a long weekend. The staff were very helpful and friendly, despite a mix up with our rooms which was quickly rectified. The breakfast is a superb buffet of excellent food, served in the lovely dining area. The rooms are sufficiently modern, spacious and on the higher floors are very quiet. We initially had a room on the 2nd floor opposite a nightclub which sent thumping bass through the whole room, luckily we were only in that room for about 10 minutes before moving to a room higher up on the 4th floor. This room was very quiet. There is also very little noise from the corridors and neighbouring rooms. The location is very hard to beat. It's just 2 minutes from the main railway station and bus depot, about 5 minutes to Senate Square and the harbour, 2 minutes to Aleksanterinkatu, and a short tram ride to Temppeliaukion kirkko and Sibelius Park. I would happily stay here again, but I would certainly make sure my room was nowhere near the night club located opposite the south side of the building.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the Aussie Bar club located to the south (Vilhonkatu 6). The noise of the t...

I had a satisfactory stay here. It's a comfortable hotel very close to the city centre. The staff I would call polite, but not really friendly. I have stayed in more modern and better Radisson hotels I have to say. This one had a bit of a dated 'allure'. But in all in all almost everything was relatively okay. Good breakfast. The only really negative was that we (3 30-something friends) were promised three equal beds. But we got one double and one really small children's camping bed. My friend tried the camping bed one night, but had severe back pain from it. When we complained about this at reception, they did not seem to care very much. After minutes of discussing this, we finally got them to put a normal mattress on the floor in our room (we came up with that idea ourselves as noone seemed to care enough to propose a solution). It was a good quality mattress, but because it as put on the floor, it all felt like camping/glamping. Not really what I would expect in a Radisson Hotel. ;-(

This is a great hotel to stay at. The location is centrally located right next to the train station within walking distance of anywhere you'd want to go. The staff is friendly, rooms are clean and WiFi is included.
