We traveled to the museum using the 24 bus (very simple). The bridge over to the museum was pretty enough but the island itself was a complete disappointment. We felt that the museum was untidy and shabby. During our week in Helsinki we spent time in places that were far more beautiful (the fortress, the national park). The toilet facilities were disgusting, by far the worst we came across in Finland.
On a return from the museum we stopped at the Sibelius statue and really enjoyed a coffee and bun at the regatta cafe.
