“Probably the best you can get in Helsinki”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

This hotel is gorgeous - everything is well thought of and services are excellent. The hotel breathes the heritage of the time when an old bank was still located in this building, especially the stairs and bar area. The location is perfect, next to shops, bars, restaurants and clubs. There are rooms in the new and the old part of the hotel. A colleague of mine who has been here before got an upgrade to a room/suite in the old part: it's really nice. Another one stayed in the Mannerheim suite, it's one of the best places he ever spend a night. The new part is good too but less impressive: still spacious rooms, marble bathroom with music and a rubber duck in the hot tub, small desk/office area and good climate control. Breakfast is splendid, especially the fish. Next door (if it's rains they let you walk inside) is a perfect teppanyaki restaurant. Only thing that is annoying is that the climate in the hotel is on elderly temperature (I would not be surprised if it is set on 25oC), EVEN in the gym! It's ok for the spa area, but it's ridiculous when you want to work out. Asked both days if they can turn the heating down: it's not possible, according to the lovely ladies there. Too bad, otherwise this hotel would get five stars in this review. Note: If you want to stay Kämp location, but you don't like its classy style and classy price tag, try the GLO Hotel next door. I heard it is good too, with a more lounge atmosphere - I'd probably consider this if I would visit Helsinky privately.

I stayed here for one night while on a business trip.

I was quite stunned by the facilities at this hotel and for the first time felt that finally a European hotel was living up to the benchmarkes set by their Asia peers. The lobby by itself is small and cozy. The front desk and the concierge are very helpful and courtious with some great recommendations for dinner places, trips etc,

The rooms are simply excellent. The room size is BIG. Very well equipped with all the latest facilities and amenities. Its very stylishly done up. The barthrooms are HUGE, with a seperate tub and shower area. I was very tempted to try out the tub as they had some interesting amenities and toileteries for luxury. The room is very well lit and has so much of free space to move around. The sleep quality is fantastic, very luxurious.

The location of the hotel is bang in centre of the city, just a short walk away from all the attractions, offices and the harbour.

The breakfast at the hotel is interesting and well laid out. It has a nice sitiing place just facing the street that makes it very beautiful.

all in all, this is a great place to stay. Its amazing to doscover such as place in Europe.

Stayed here one night on business trip. Check in fast and the staff very polite. Lovely room, quiet, large comfortable bed. Large bathroom with separate bath and large shower with good amenities in the bathroom.Ordered room service as was quite late. Good food and service.
Breakfast next day was very good with yogurt, fruit, bread, cold meats, cheese, bread, bacon and eggs made to order.

Good hotel for business and holiday.

Beautifully appointed rooms and public areas, this hotel reflects true class. It has been restored to reflect its 1890 pedigree evident in the large rooms, wide corridors, atmospheric bar and restaurant. The deluxe king bed room was warm and inviting with beautiful marble bathroom with bath and shower. The Kamp Bar has great ambience and if you are staying on a Saturday night is full of local characters and great fun. For those wanting a lighter breakfast there is a Karl Fazer Cafe right across the street. It would be hard to stay anywhere else in Helsinki after this flawless stay.

Room Tip: Overlooking the Esplanade would be good.

Lots oh history tjis is one of the oldest hotels in Helsinki. This is where the titans of helsinki's cultural elite used to drink in th 19th century. Now it's a modern five star hotel with a lively bar. A must try!

The Hotel Kamp has a wonderful location that is within walking distance to great retail, the port, and numerous restaurants. The rooms are a little tired and in need of an update. Review your bill closely on checkout. My bill had several charges that were supposed to be included in the rate. For breakfast, I highly recommend going to the Fazer Bakery just across the pedestrian street. They have a very good self service breakfast buffet for under 13 Euros. The restaurant was kept busy with a constant stream of very well dressed Helsinki residents.
