We chose Hotel Kuninkaantie due to the attractive price. The hotel reminds me of my college dorm which had corridors that reek the smell of takeaway food and tired looking rooms. We were initially checked into a room which has stained chairs and a standing shower with missing sliding doors. We requested a room change and the friendly staff assisted without questioning. After 3 nights, my husband and I suffered massive body aches and headaches from the flat pillows (I called them sofa cushions because they were that small) and thin mattress.
On the positive side, the staff were responsive and the reception opens 24 hours. The walk to Espoo train station was a comfortable 5 minutes stroll. Not to mention, a decent spread of daily buffet breakfast was included in the rate.
Given the rate I paid for, my only complaint would be the uncomfortable bedding they had. My recommendation is -- pay slightly more to enjoy a rejuvenating rest.
