“The best place to stay on Amorgos!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

Me and my husband spent 9 days in Amaranto in the end of June – beginning of July. The studio is absolutely comfortable, super clean and tidy, there is everything you might need: conditioner, hair-dryer, kitchenware, oven, electric kettle and so on. The kitchen is separated from the main room and is connected with a balcony where you can eat at a small cozy table enjoying a breath taking view to the island of Nikouria. The second balcony (a bigger one) offers a view to the village of Langada. Bath corner with a curtain is the most comfortable we have ever seen in Greece – no water runs on the floor. In any case, if you prefer a bath tub, you can book a studio for 4 persons since it offers a bath tub instead of a bath corner.

Thanasis and his brother met us in the port of Katapola at 2 A.M. at night and provided us with a transfer to Amaranto. When we were moving to Naxos they gave us a lift to Katapola again. They are really helpful and amiable hosts and will willingly help you with anything you need.

The location of the studio is simply perfect: far from hustle and bustle of Aegiali Port, but in 2 minutes’ walk to Langada’s supermarket and taverns. We used to supper in ‘Maxos’. It offers the tastiest dishes in the village!

Langada is a very nice, calm and silent village and you can’t find a better place to stay on Amorgos! We thank Thanasis and his brother for making our vacation so comfortable and spotless! That was unforgettable!

If you wish to rent a car, you should try Evdokia’s Car Rental. We booked Hyundai for the whole period of our stay, explored the whole island and didn’t even wish to move to Naxos!

P.S. If you are fond of hiking you should definitely go to Chorafakia mountain (823 m, Kroukelos massif on the north of the island). It took us 7 hours but the view from the highest peak of Amorgos is STUNNING!!!!

Room Tip: 8 is the best!

We decided to go to Amorgos for 3 days at the very last minute. We were anxious if 3 days would be enough. We were most lucky to read some good reviews of these rooms: thanks, in big part, to this choice we had the perfect holiday. The rooms are situated in the village of Lagkada, 4 klms from Aigiali, one of the two ports of Amorgos. Access is very easy and there is a big public car park nearby. The village is beautiful and the views are stunning. The room was immaculate and there was nothing missing; the foam bath and shampoo etc were of good quality and we were even provided with slippers. One thing to know is that, as this is not a hotel, there is no breakfast served, but one can have one in the village (there is also a fridge and a boiler in the kitchen). The beach of Aigiali and of Aghios Pavlos are not far away by car. Make sure you have a drink at jazzy Pergalidi before going to bed ;-)

Room Tip: We had a 3-bed studio, situated at the top floor. All rooms looked very decent.
