“Santa's home”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014 via mobile

Ok, it is a bit stupid to wait in line with grown ups to meet a dressed up guy with a beard, but it is also funny and a must do when you visit Lapland. For kids this place must be magic. They make a video and pictures of you meeting with Santa and the fee is not a present, they think very commercially.

I went with my husband here and met Santa. Missed my kids sooo much. They even give you your meeting with Santa on a pen drive!

“Santa - Yes, the Experience - Not so Much”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2014

Meeting Santa is on every big kid's list. We queued for a while, not too long, and were ushered in, but the experience is very controlled - you must sit by Santa, he puts his arms around you, you have your picture taken by a 'photographer elf'. Pic with Santa, yours for a mere €19. No other cameras allowed. It just didn't seem in the spirit. Not recommended for anyone over age 7, unfortunately.

The post office was similarly odd - half post office, half gift shop, and a hefty fee for letters and postcards, but I do like that I could send postcards and messages from Santa to my younger family members and friends' kids, and they will arrive shortly before Christmas - I look forward to their reactions!
