“Nice and cozy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Good hotel with the main amenities such as a mini fridge, courtesy coffee in the bedroom, great breakfast including a wide variety of breads and cereals and wi-fi connection. I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times and staff is always willing to help you. The room had a good size with an armchair and the bathroom has one of those heated bars to dry your towels. The nearest tram line is about 10 minutes walk, however, there's a bus station right across the street. If you're not in the mood for dinning at the hotel or choosing one of the many restaurants nearby, there's a grocery store just in front of the hotel so you can pick up stuffs to bring in. The hotel is located a little outside the city center, so it makes it perfect for a good rest in the evening.

Room Tip: In summer time, ssk for room with a view to the garden.

Really pleased with hotel good value for money even though needs a bit of work outside rooms were lovely and gardens on inner side were lovely too!!

Staff were really friendly and location of hotel was excellent near train station and a parade of shops nearby.

At first I was a little worried as we walked up, it looked more like nice national forest cabins than a hotel, but everything was fine on the inside. Our room was clean and well prepared; small like a typical European hotel room, but definitely big enough for two; and there were robes and slippers, an amenity that I really appreciate.

WiFi is included free, as is breakfast. There are courtyard areas that you can go and sit on and even a bocce court (you can check out the bocce set from the front desk). The hotel is close to lots of community soccer/football fields; grocery store and convenience stores; and to public transit as well. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station and completely manageable. Staff were friendly and spoke English fluently, in case you don't know Swedish.

A short walk from Hotel Liseberg are the Gothia Towers (another hotel) and I recommend taking a walk there to go to the restaurant Heaven 23 - the view of sunset from the restaurant is wonderful and everyone gets the shrimps sandwiches - they are enormous!

Good central location. Comfortable room although limited wardrobe space/draws for clothes. I booked a business grandlit double room via booking.com. It stated the room had a view of the courtyard which was completely untrue. All you could see was the roof of the premises. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which was rather disappointing but it was very clean. However, the bedrooms would benefit from air con as they got very warm despite outside temps only being about 20C and rather uncomfortable at night. The staff were very friendly and public areas very pleasant. Breakfast was very good with a large selection on offer both hot and cold. Just be aware that it can get very busy about 9am at weekends. Reasonable value for money although no hotels in Gothenburg are cheap.

This was half the price of the Gothia Towers which is where the conference I was attending was. It is no more that 10 minutes walk.

Decent size room, clean with en suite shower (no bath). Friendly staff and decent breakfast.

Probably not a four star but a good 3 or 3.5

I would stay there again.

My trip was neither Christmas or Summer - my guess is Gothenburg is very different at these times.

From the outside this Hotel looks a bit drab. It is adjacent to attractive old apartments and leisure facility playing fields.

Once inside it is crisp and clean with excellent facilities.

The room I had, had a balcony floor with extra beds, so would be good for families.

Breakfast included was good and plentiful.

The wellness room had a sauna and small gym.

I had a great stay

A short walk from thre Avenue (airport Bus and shops) - 10 minutes into town (train station and shops)

Great location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms, even for a clean-freak like me :)Our double room was rather large and great for us with two toddlers and a huge double stroller. It's not the most recently renovated hotel you'll find, but very clean.
