Overpriced tasteless, bland food. Is this really the Swedish Taste?
Very disappointed, great presentation and location but terrible food.

“Best Restaurant Experience in Gothenburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

I have been to all michelin stars restaurants in Gothenburg and Swedish Taste is my favourite. The competition is hard, there are many really good restaurants in town:

28+ has the best food and their exclusive wine menus are excellent
Kock&Vin are the most creative(though M^2 can be really creative as well, inspired by Fat Duck)
Thörnström has the best service and traditional food
Sjömagasinet has the most "Gothenburg Experience"
Linnea Art Gallery has the nicest interior

But Swedish Taste wins overall. The atmosphere is very modern, high class without being uptight. The service is superb and very relaxed. The food is great and the wines are perfectly matched(Chicca is my favourite red dessert wine). In all an almost flawless experience.

If you just want to have a nice evening with nice food and wine in good company try Swedish Taste.

“Top shelf Swedish food, at Swedish prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012 via mobile

A nice restaurant convenient to hotels near the central station. The food was truly excellent. I had the halibut and duck for entree/ main, both of which were very, very good. Service was good, despite a couple of mix ups. The restaurant is slightly too cold and the prices are certainly at the top end. All things considered, well worth a visit for the close-to-perfect food.

“Pleasent evening - but expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

We spent a very pleasant evening at the Swedish Taste Restaurant. The staff was very cordial and caring. The décor was pleasing (I even liked the restrooms design…) Yet, the food was disappointing - as it was only average quality/taste. I was not swayed with the wonderful attention to details and the magnificent presentation, the food was not creative and did not justified the high price. 6 of us paid, with one bottle of wine (cheapest on the menu - $100), around $90 pp

Although I enjoyed the dinner experience, I would not go back as its overpriced for the food’s creativity/quality.
