“Awesome location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012 via mobile

This hotel has an awesome location if you are using Ryanair as your carrier. My flight came in at Skavsta airport at 11,30 at night with a snow storm falling. Well at that time of night after a 4 hour flight all you seek is a warm shower and a bed and not travel 80 min to Stockholm. The hotel is just a 5 min walk from the arrivals and has clean rooms and comfy beds with a good breakfast too. For a one night stay for me it was awesome. Totally recommended and good value for money.

We stayed here following a late flight arrival and again following an early departure and it was ideal, less than 100m from the terminal. We stayed in a "quick stay" room which means you have to make your own bed and that bathroom and shower facilities are shared. There are plenty of facilities, located right next to the rooms so it's no hassle. The ladies showers are in cubicles, the gents are open. The room had a balcony and was clean enough, although the walls seemed to collect dust.

The bar/lobby area of the hotel is nicely decorated and features a large open fire, which is much appreciated in the -11 temperatures we were there in! Drinks at the bar were well priced for Scandinavia. Breakfast is served adjacent to this - cereals, breads, cheese, cold meat etc. There is a departures screen for the airport in the breakfast/bar area, meaning that you can keep tabs on your flight from the comfort of the hotel. (We checked in online and had no luggage, so could wait in the hotel lobby until our gate was open - much comfier than the basic facilities at Skavsta airport.) There is a sauna, gym and relaxation room. All in all, while it's not the Ritz, it is well priced and ideal for an airport stopover.

Room Tip: "Quick sleep" rooms are cheaper but have shared shower/toilet facilities. Family rooms ar...

Stayed in Connect hotel Skavsta over a night. Yes, it is right at the airport, but it is not worth it. Small rooms were functional but very dusty. The minute you sit on the bed a cloud of dust would appear. I have never seen anything like that before. Breakfast was awful and we end up having stomach aches all day. That spoiled our first day in Paris.

We had to catch the 7am flight from Skavsta to London.

We went for the cheapest option room which was hostel like small with 2 bunk beds and shared facilities in the corridor. As it was at the end of the corridor we also got a large balcony (don't think all rooms have this), which would have been great if the weather wasn't miserable. This standard is what we expected and chose to pay for, so that's all good.

The food was only alright. Had meatballs and mash which was very average. In the lobby / restaurant there was a kids play area with toys that must have been bought from a low standard charity shop. Our 8 months old boy didn't seem to care much though.

They advertise it as being 75m from the terminal. This might be true from wall to wall, but not entracne to entrance, so as part of my OCD I roughly measured the walking distance and it was more like 150m.

Still - Overall it was good and I will definitely use it again if I ever take that flight again.

Room Tip: Room 501 has a balcony

We stayed 1 night when we arrived with a late flight and came back the night before leaving with an early morning flight. I recommend it to whoever fly to Skavsta at ryanair-crazy-schedules. Good price (compared to Stockholm average), clean, well-kept and design extremely functional. Despite the rooms are very small, you have everything you need. With 2 children we took the double room with extra-bed. You pay 15 euro more than the quick-sleep but you have bathroom inside. The family room is the best one (we have been upgraded on the first night, thank you). Great abundant breakfast served from 4am. Excellent cappuccino.

Just don't book this hotel. Terrible prison like rooms noisy and a lousy service. Rip-off establishment hiding behind eco ideas. To your expense and their gain. Did not get the room that I booked instead a horrible room with steel bunkbeds. Dreamt that I was in prison. Did not help with the garden low window and the peeping weirdo outside. Stayed awake all night with all the noise from the bar and consekvently missed the breakfast...was not even offered a cup of coffee despite complaining. Just don't go there...they have lovely hotels in Nykoeping just a few minutes outside Skavsta...a beautiful little town.

Room Tip: Just go for another hotel

A perfect solution for travelers with early morning flights who don't want to spend a fortune on a hotel. We stayed in a "Quick sleep" - very basic but clean and comfortable. Good breakfast and a very nice atmosphere in the lobby!
