Me and my wife visited Örebro recently. On recommendation we visited Amano and we walked away happy afterwards.
We choose the degustation menu of seven courses which was very good with a few exceptions. The amuse was an interesting combo of prosciutto and fig marmelad which sounds strange but works out nicely.
The 1st starter, garlic marinated prawn, was OK while the 2nd, gorgonzola and walnut stuffed pasta parcels, were some of the best I've had.
The first main, tuna, that followed was perfectly medium rare with a mild saffron tortellini while the chicken felt a little bit out of place in comparison. Afte followed the lamb rack and even my wife (who really doesn't like lamb) loved it. It came with a nice pecorino crème.
The cheese was a great selection while the dessert - rhubarb sorbet - went down nicely.
The staff - very accommodating and professional - came up with some great wine choices as well.
All in all a good night in a nice environment.
