“Pleasant stay in Falun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

Pleasant stay for one night in Falun. Nice and clean room, ok price level. The only backdraw was the shower; the water was spread to all directions and only a few drops hit me! :-) This is easy to fix i suppose... All in all a very nice stay.

Firstly, the hotel is conveniently located with shopping district within 5mins. However, the noise from the teens hanging out in the streets late in the night is unbearable! Even when you closed the room windows, you can hear them loud & clear.

The room looks old and need renovation. Bed sheet & towels are clean. Bath area is only divided up using a shower curtain, the floor can be wet & slippery after shower.

WIFI is free but you need to do some registration before you can even log in. Quite troublesome on the registration. Hopefully it was be scrapped off!

Breakfast was great, there is a waffle making machine but you need to do your own waffle making ")

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for one night (12th of may-13th of may 2012)
We asked to upgrade our grandlit room to a doubleroom that was renovated. The receptionist was very nice and helpful! The halls of the hotel is a bit old and need renovation, but when we entered the room we were suprised, it was great.
We also enjoyed the swimmingpool. It also need some renovating in the changingrooms, but that didn't really bother us.
Next time i would love to try the spa aswell.
The breakfast was great, normal scandinavian standard.

Room Tip: ask for a renovated room! (second floor was great) our room was 247.

.Very helpfull staff. Many services inluded in price - breakfast, swiming pool , gym, drinks and snacks for the whole time. Situated in the center of Falun but it is not inconvenient because of street noise etc. I always choose this hotel.

The staff are great! The situation is perfect! The breakfast is magnific! The WIFI was a bit slow, but only in the early evenings.... Good restaurant and SO central! Falun is a cute little town in Dalarna, Sweden. Lots of things to do! Don't miss the Falu Gruva.. the old copper mine.. SO interesting!!

arrived at night free carpark outside, AT NIGHT ONLY..you can purchase ticket and it will activate at 8am, thats when it is 10 K/hr. Dont have to get up to do it in the morn, like we did. very quiet it being a friday night, room clean, big enough, bathroom ok shower head on wall needed poking to free holes of oxidation then it worked fine. Bed clean comfy bit small as a double, get use to big beds in most hotels..TV ok good choice channels. Hairdryer, comfy chair, one lamp bedside no way of turning on, no pull cord, but overhead lamp at back of bed, & a free standing floor lamp.Nice pool open from 6am, warm water, under water lights and music, good size, very nice, worth getting up for..Breakfast very good big choice of food, fresh, for me was grateful for soya milk & gluten free crackers.!!
waffles, eggs, bacon done swedish style 'burnt' but everything else really good & plenty of it.

Room Tip: ask for twins beds

The bed was super soft and about 90cm wide. Room was about 10m2 and the shower looked like was it from 1970, and left from there. Had an alright nights of sleep - but at 1200SEK/night - I felt this was terrible value for money.

Room Tip: My room faced the parking lot, and that was ok
