We stayed in Stockholm over New Year and got a loft room in this hotel at a fantastic price. It turns out that the hotel caters mainly for repeat business guests and so over the holidays it is a little quieter, which suited us perfectly.
The loft room was really nice. There were odd angles here and there (understandably) but we managed to avoid cracking our heads. The bathroom was a good size with a nice walk-in shower.
The reception staff were polite and efficient, and dealt with all our enquiries with a smile.
The breakfast (which was included in the room price) was also very good, but they could perhaps have done with a few more tables as it was sometimes a struggle to find somewhere to sit (although we never had to wait more than a few minutes).
Whilst Stockholm is an easy city to get around on foot, the location of this hotel is excellent and we found we were in the perfect place for exploring. The Arlanda Express terminal is about 20 minutes walk, as is the old town and Skansen. We didn't take public transport once, even with our cases to and from the station - there really was no need.
Over New Year a lot of restaurants and attractions are closed, which is worth bearing in mind. On our first night there (29th December) we walked for an hour searching for a decent restaurant (working our way down the ones recommended on this site). We did find some excellent ones, but it wasn't easy. The same was true each night, with a fair number stating that they were closed until around 7th January.
The only odd thing about the hotel that we noticed was that our bed had two single duvets, rather than one double. It wasn't a problem, just a little unusual. I am sure if we'd been bothered to mention it then it would have been changed!
Overall, and excellent hotel and I will stay here again on any future trips to Stockholm. I recommend you do the same.
