“authentic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

A very nice place in a pleasant location serving authentic Swedish food. The herring plate starter was delicious as was the cured salmon. Service was efficient if a little off hand but that seems to be quite common in Stockholm. Probably due to the guaranteed tip which is included in the bill.

“Fantastic location with good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

If you want a nice restaurant on Djurgården, Ulla Winblad is a good choice. We went here for dinner before a concert at Cirkus. During summer they have nice outdoor seating. Had a sirloin beef with sallad and potatoes, 295 SEK. Grillad to perfektion it came in combination with a herb butter. A glass of Amarone red wine, 145 SEK, was delicious.

“Traditional swedish food at its best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

My husband had been here during the winter and now we were eating here on the longest day of the year. Very charming and cosy with swedish specialties and a lovely location. Food was very good. Our starter (white asparagus) was over salted and the server quickly replaced with a new plate which was delicious.

“Very nice food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Classic Swedish food and some French dishes. Their potato purée was heaven. The building is old and decorated appropriately, the whole place has a nice homey feel.

Most servers are quite friendly, but one or two struck me as slightly rude. Nothing that marred an otherwise pleasant evening.

If you check your coat and bag (which you may very well be asked to do), they charge a small fee. Pay with the bill or in cash.

“Sweden to Perfection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

The walls of this restaurant are glass, so that in every direction the diner is looking out on the greenest of green parkland. The menu contains classic Swedish fare as well as continental dishes. The linen, the waitress uniforms and demeanor, the table bread, the china, these all fit marvelously together into a calm not too formal elegance that is Sweden at its best. My wife and both went for classic Swedish, meatballs for her and fried herring for me. Both were accompanied with very smooth mashed potatoes plus a something in it we could not identify but definitely welcomed. Prices are medium for Sweden, ranging from about $20 to $40. The relaxation factor is worth another $500, but they don't charge extra for that.
