We booked the Chrismas buffet in the Operakallaren in advance as advised.
When we arrived, we really loved the place that was beautifully decorated for the event.
The big DECEPTION came with the FOOD.
We took half lobster that was crazily cold and didnt have much to eat (Griffins Steakhouse lobster was much less expensive, much bigger and tastier!!!)
When it came to the buffet itself, we had very little choice Besides 10000 varieties of herring (that is great for those who love it, but it was not our case), 3 varieties of salmon, some cold meat and other cold starters, there was nothing to eat.
NO HOT MEALS! There were 3 strange hot pots with some strange stuff inside (I didnt succeed to find the english translation of what was inside, so, we didnt taste it).
The dessert table was apart, but nothing impressive either.
Actually I found that our hotel breakfast buffet was better and muuuuuch less expensive.
The price is just CRAZY!
We are used to eating in expensive Michelin star restaurants, but at least you know what you pay for.
We payed over 350 euros for 3 in Operakallaren with just a glass of champagne each (no other alcocholic drink) and frankly speaking left a bit hungry and disgusted both by the price and the QUALITY of the food we ate.
I dont know how it is there normally, but i would advise NOT to go there for the Christmas buffet, unless you have some hundreds of euros to throw...
This place was the biggest disappointment of our whole stay in Stockholm!
