I stayed at the Hotel Riddargatan for 2 days while I was on a business trip to Stockholm. Had found a good rate on hotels.com and pretty ok reviews on tripadvisor to match. Here's my take on this one:
Location - Superb! It is central to almost everything in Stockholm. The street itself is lined with nice shops, restaurants and bars. 2-minutes away is the lakeside from where you take the cruise. I walked down to almost all my meetings, to the Old Town(Gamla Stan, major tourist attraction) and too famous shopping streets.
Staff & Service - Very warm, friendly and helpful. Very prompt in looking up the map and giving me directions for my next meeting or anywhere else I asked for, rang restaurants at night to find out if they were open or they serve veg food, or any other request.
Room & Amenities - It is a small 50 room hotel with no restaurant. But there are several restaurants on the street. Finding food is just not a problem. It has a cute and spacious bar where breakfast is served and of course drinks. Breakfast was very good. Fulfiliing. On one night, I returned back to hotel late and without having dinner. The bartender, on request dished up a huge bruschetta(veg) with salad and olives. Nice dinner with a glass of wine and a friendly chat with barman :)
I had a single room which was rather small but good enough for me. Spotless clean, very comfortable bed, tv with 2 english channels, safe locker, tea kettle, refrigerator, bathtub, and a superb shower. Ironing board can be sent to room upon request.
Good Experience, will be my first choice of hotel on next trip to Stockholm!
