Combination of business and pleasure trip so chose this hotel for its location which was just as well as its proximity to the old part of the city was its only good feature. This is not to say that we found much wrong with the place, it was just very uninteresting but then a closer look at the exterior gives a pretty good impression of how uninspiring the hotel is generally.
The reception area was bright enough in a clinical way but once up on the accomodation floors and the rooms themselves were really quite bleak and not worth the money. We had breakfast out everyday rather than pay the rip off prices in the hotel (and I was on expenses too!) Interesting quad in the centre of the hotel currently occupied by a grim piece of sculpture could be made into a really nice outside bar or similar but presently is reminiscent of Benedorm on a grey day.

During our stay the hotel was under rebuilding, due the noise it was not possible to stay in the room after 8 o’clock. But this was not a problem for the hotel to take a full summer price. Besides this the rooms were not cleaned, dusty and empty beer cans on the floor. Do not take the breakfast on the hotel, it’s an ordinary breakfast, not worth its price. Good staff in the reception

When we arrived they gave us a twin instead of a double.When I got back downstairs, the receptionist explained that the hotel was almost fully booked, but if we paid 30 euros more each day, they could find us a double room! Isn’t that a bit contradictory?
During our visit we also had sauna, but even though it says it is warm 24 h, it wasn’t. The shower in the women’s sauna was out of order and it seemed been like that some time. There was no slippers and no bathrobe in the room, maybe there is if you get a club room... Even the lobby was quiete ordinary and the room decor wasn't anything wonderful eather.
All in all, the hotel was quite not the experience I expected, the only nice thing was the breakfast, which was very good.
I would not recomend the hotel, at least a clasic room, to anybody and maybe not even any other type of room, because obviously that would make the stay very expensive and I sincerely don't belive this hotel is worth it.
Stockholm is a wonderful city and my advice would be to eather take any other hotel at a good price( it is rather expensive always), but in Stockholm you woudn't find anything that would be totally unacceptable or if you do decide to book a wonderful hotel, make sure it isn't Sheraton.

Upon arrival at the Central Train Station we were surprised to walk out the door and see the Sheraton accross the street and one block down....how convenient! The lobby is very sleek and modern (newly renovated) and check in was the easiest ever.

We went to our club level room and I was so surprised by how large it was...huge even in American standards. There was a roomy sitting area, two of the wonderful Sheraton beds and a large desk area. The bathroom was ultra modern (newly renovated) and well stocked. We had a complimentary bollte of wine and some chocolates.

Our friends stayed in another hotel about 15 minutes walk away and they spent all their spare time at The Sheraton, even though their hotel was considered 5*.

We tried to get reservations at the ICE Bar (2 blocks away) and since it was Friday night there was no way! I asked the concierge to try and she got us reservations for prime time on that night. Of course we tipped her well.

We had free access to the internet/computers in the club lounge.

We booked early and got a rate for under $200.00 USD. The reservation confirmation offered an upgrade to the club level for about $80.00USD per day. It was a great value as the breakfast buffet was included in the club rate, there is a wine and beer social every night and there are hot entree offerings each night. In addition there is soda, beer, juice, water, coffee and snacks available all day. What a bargain!

Sheratons are usually good but Sheraton Stockholm is the best of the best.
