“Excelent place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

I have to say this is a really great hotel. It is in a really nice and quite square in Sodermalm and close to really cool restaurants and shops. However, for those who want to be in the center of everything that may not be a positive, as it is not within walking distance from the center. It may take you about 30 min to walk to Gamla Stan and even longer to the central station, and in the winter that may not be a pleasant walk. That said, the underground is just 2 blocks away so that won't be a huge problem. Now with regards to the hotel itself, the design does not fulfill the Scandinavian stereotype as it is more edgy and colorful and less minimal. The entrance is beautiful as it resembles an old NYC cinema entrance (or at least that's what reminded me of). The staff and the service are informal, very friendly and very efficient and there is free coffee in the morning. The rooms are very spacious and has all the modern entertainment equipment which helps if you're on business (as I was) or just lazy. The bed was great and the bathroom beautiful. It had however an glass wall that may be an issue if you're sharing with people you don't know that well of you have the curtains open as the windows are quite large and this is a residential area. Value, I think, is also a plus as I have stayed in much worse rooms with much - much higher prices. You should also remember that this is Stockholm, so the budget options are very limited.
Overall, a fantastic hotel in Stockholm.

Room Tip: Get a room with a balcony facing the square!

Rooms are of average size but are very clean with good furnishings. The bathroom had a soaking tub and a stand alone shower and was of a good size. The unique carpeting in the hallways and the interior decor will bring a smile to your face and make you feel comfortable in this surrounding.
The location is near a park in a nice quiet neighborhood close to restaurants, convenience stores,
bakeries, etc. The metro stop is only minutes away and the travel time to the various parts of town is very short. Staff is most helpful and provide excellent service.
The restaurant was also very good.
Excellent place to stay and would return.

We stayed in this hotel as well as Sheraton and Stureplan in Stockholm. I think this one was the best one overall. The location may not be in the exact centre of town but everything is so handy and convenient it only takes five minutes to get to the centre and this shows a different part of town that is really nice and more relaxed and less hectic. One feels like you are in a neighbourhood yet it is so close to everything. Most of the sites are not in the centre of town anyway, so we found it made no difference - it is just as easy to get anywhere as from the hotels right in town. The metro is just two minutes walk and you can walk to many places. The room was nice, we stayed in the deluxe room (without balcony) - had nice views of park, the room was bright. Wifi was free. The bathroom was really nice with seperate bath and shower which the other hotels didn't have. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Umbrellas were provided. There is a coffee machine on one of the levels. Breakfast was not included but there are lots of eating options nearby. I would definitely stay here again if returning to Stockholm as it is very convenient, yet feels relaxed and homely.

Room Tip: Deluxe room facing park was nice

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Did have an upgraded room w balcony that looked out over the park. The furnishings were great, and wood flooring! Clean and spotless. The restaurant was also wonderful. Staff great. Just one of the best places we have stayed.

Only negative is parking. There really is nothing around, and the cost per night for valet is $60.

Putting that aside, this is truly a place worth staying in.

Right from the booking made online, the service was exemplary. We were travelling with our 6 month old, hence had some quirky requests like mini bar being emptied to keep her food, everything was done as was requested. The rooms are spacious and well presented, the location great (opposite a beautiful park in Mariotgret), the front desk staff very helpful and the bar quite snazzy. Highly recommended. With the husband being an ABBA fan, that was just the icing on a delicious cake!

Room Tip: Take a room overlooking the park, if possible.

Impressed by the welcome from front desk staff, professional and friendly. Stylish comfortable room and good facilities including complimentary wifi and coffee. Good food and plenty of variety in options. Has the edge over other hotels in its staff and will definitely be first choice for return trips.

This is a great choice of hotel for people wishing to spend some time exploring Stockholm. It is in a quiet location overlooking a small park (although our room didn't look out that way!) with a bar with a sunny balcony and outside seating. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a Superior room which had a huge bathroom (but no bath) and great little touches like CDs (including ABBA's greatest hits!) and free movies. Very comfortable beds and choice of pillows. Fantastic 24hr help yourself tea and coffee facility on the 4th floor.
