“A nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

I have stayed many times at the Elite Palace. It is good located if you have business at the Karolinska Institute or Karolinska Hospital. It is not to bad for central Stockholm.
I have always enjoyed my stays, the rooms are nice, the front staff nice and really want to help. The beds are comfortable.
The rooms are clean and kept clean, and the wardrobes big enough.
The breakfast buffet is good, not extravagant or not even rich, but still expectable. If you are staying for many nights this could be a problem.

I would though definitively issue a warning for the single rooms. By mistake my agency booked me in a single room once, and the hotel was full. This as so often is the case with single rooms was so small and clammy that it was really uncomfortable. I have never understood the concept of single rooms when they are designed like this.

Stayed at Elite Palace Hotel while away on a business trip. As the coference was held at the hotel I ate all my meals there too, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel was nice and clean and looked like a classic 4-star hotel. The room was a good size and so was the bathroom. The bed was very soft and comfortable and the decor was nice but nothing special.
Breakfast was good with a good selection. Lunch and dinner were ok but not delicious. It's a good hotel overall and I could definetely stay there again.

Well located near Stureplan, this hotel is perfect for a business trip. Breakfast is well served and it is near several tunnelbana stations. Rooms have good wifi connection and are small. Normal in Stockholm. Good choice

Stayed one night on business. Decent hotel. Swanky in lobby and decent breakfast. Room small but well appointed - wifi is free. Bathroom was small with wet room area but good water pressure. Was in a luxury room - would judge as decent "standard" elsewhere. Reasonable minibar prices (for Sweden). No air con or kettle.

Location is out of city centre - taxi to central station was £13. Not convenient for exploring Stockholm but decent if office is nearby.

Nice hotel overall. Staff were welcoming and there was a good feel to the place.
Rooms are to a high standard if a bit on the small side. Would benefit from air-conditioning for this time of year.

Breakfast was really good - huge range, all tastes catered for including meatballs? if you feel inclined.

What a weird hotel! First of all, they have a real, I mean REAL problem with their booking system. I tried to book two rooms with different rates, after the first booking on their website something changed in their system and I could no longer book the second booking. So I called them to cancel the booking and made a new one via the website. When I arrived, sure enough they claimed I had two reservations! Good that I had printed out the cancellation confirmation email!

After that they put me in a room that was clearly not a deluxe room that I had booked. The room was small, had no promised sofa and was located next to the spa and the spa was broken and in repairs, so I literally had to walked through a building site to get to my room! This is supposedly a 4 star hotel deluxe room. As I was checking in, I could see at least 3 other customers come down and demand another room! Finally, on the last day they tried to charge me a higher rate for the room than what was in my reservation. When I pointed this out, they corrected the rate.

The hotel itself is ok, not in the very centre, so you have to walk quite some way or alternatively you can take the subway. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about. I don't think I'll ever come back to this hotel.

I worked in Stockholm for two years and often stayed at this hotel. A bit expensive and the rooms were adequate but one of the better ones in Stockholm where the hotels tend to be poor value and expensive but the breakfast was ok.

Room Tip: Use the airport bus, it stops just down the road, a better bet than the expensive train/metro
