This was a fun place to stay and the price of a double bunk bed room all to myself was very reasonable. It is located conveniently a few blocks, hills, and stairways away from the main shopping drag in one direction and across a bridge in the other direction from the train station. The room was very small and next to the staircase and bathroom so it was occasionally a bit loud at night hearing everyone trooping up and down the stairs and using the bathroom. The room itself was dark and reasonably clean; I needed to wriggle to get into the top bunk which had no headroom whatsoever but I loved looking out of the little propped-open window at the view of the bridge and buildings and feeling the boat rock when other boats passed by. It was surprisingly peaceful! I recommend bringing rubber slippers to use in the communal guy/girl bathroom. I paid a few extra to dine on the breakfast buffet one morning but decided to wander into town to get a cheaper meal the next morning.

3 of us stayed here in April and had a cabin to ourselves. Upon arrival, we were told that our cabin was on another boat not on the red boat. The other white boat was for non-ensuite cabins. There were only two showers and there's only one door. This means that two people shower together at two corners and you can't lock the shower door. People can come in anytime while you are showering and similarly, while the other person is showering, you can leave the shower. I didn't feel comfortable with this but I thought it's quite a good experience. Another thing to note is that you cannot adjust the water temperature. It was quite cold in April and the water was cold too. The cabin was very small but for three people it was ok. Just don't stand up altogether. The location is good and within easy walking distance to major attractions.

I was there with some spanish and finish people, it is a really good place, lovely view, great location, one of the best hostel in nordic countries.

this hostel was great for me. i had a small room and could see the beautiful scene from the lovely window every morning and night . i really loved it ,thank you!
