“Comfortable central lodgings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

Due to the fact that this was a work trip we arrived at a very late hour but that did not impact the warmth of the welcome at all.

The staff were all very eager to help at every stage and made the best arrangements for us whilst we were there.

The rooms were of a very boutique style, clean and comfortable. Very welcoming, although not huge, but as a city centre hotel this is hardly a criticism. The only slight criticism I could make is the creaky floorboards but it's a lovely old building which makes up for it.

The breakfast was excellent, most importantly the coffee!

Would highly recommend for a city break. Great location and lovely place to stay.

The buildings are ancient and so charming - both indoor and outside - but the centralheater was not functionning properly and the temperature in our lovely two-room micro suite sank well below 20 degrees celcius. Might be healthy - but not particularly comfy. We suggested the system to be "aired", but nothing happened. We will certainly be back, in June or July !

Very nice little hotel. The room was tiny but had everything you need, tidily packed in, from the ironing board to the hair dryer. The bed was very comfortable, the decor warm and welcoming with beautiful curtains, a thick rug, a woolen blanket, and large windows overlooking a small park.

Wi-fi is free and very fast, breakfast is tasty with a lot of options from cheeses, breads, cereals, hams, boiled eggs, yogurt, etc.

The only downside is the bathroom, which is so tiny that you're almost showering over the toilet seat, but that is not a major issue if you're there on a short trip.

Very nicely located near Medborgarplatsen in Söder (South central) Stockholm. A lot of restaurants etc nearby. And the subway is only a short walk away. Good service.

We booked a family room and got a "suite" on the ground floor. Ground floor without any windows. The room felt a lot more like a better quality hostel than a full price hotel. For example there was no shampoo etc in the bathroom. We used the hand-soap in the shower. The bathroom reminded me of a sad 1990's Scandic hotel in the suburbs of a medium sized Swedish town. The breakfast was not better than average, although my wife appreciated it far more than I did - so I guess I shouldn't be too harsh. Given the cozy atmosphere of this hotel I wish I could give it a higher rating.

Room Tip: Unless you are paying the hostel price or some other heavy discount refuse the "suite" on...

Tidy, nice hotel.
Good, healthy breakfast. -No bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs...
Nice personnel.
Wi-Fi free of charge.
I chose a "small room". It was big enough for two persons and belongings.
Only minus was the toilet. It's tidy, size is good but not so practical.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2014

It took some time to find the hotel not being familiar with Stockholm and with less than a dozen words of Swedish, we immediately felt a sense of comfort and ease, once we crossed the patio and entered the lobby. The hotel staff were professional, friendly and helpful from the moment of arrival until and stored our baggage while we spent the day we checked out exploring the city. The room was remodeled, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. However, the thing that I will always remember and tell everybody about is the stupendous breakfast. They food was fresh, including a medley of fresh berries, of very high quality and delicious.
