“Good breakfast, nice hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

This hotel is very well located in the heart of the city. The breakfasts were lovely, with a good selection of hot and cold food, and fantastic views from the breakfast room. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, and spoke good English. Our only complaints would be that the shower was not powerful at all, the bar area downstairs was a little impersonal, and had a poor selection of spirits.

My husband and I just stayed here for 3 nights on a long weekend to Stockholm. While on the map, it appears a little far from the center, it's actually a nice 10-15min stroll down Drottninggattan. There is also a metro stop not too far from the hotel if you don't want to walk (about 3-5mins walk). Just around the corner from the hotel are a few restaurants/cafes and there are some more near the metro stop. We actually ate at an Indian restaurant called Masala Kitchen one evening near the metro that was not too bad.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, tidy and what we expected from the website we used to book it (Hotels.com). The breakfast was a typical Scandinavian continental breakfast with lovely bread, cheeses, meat, fruit, yoghurt, cereal etc.

I would definitely recommend this hotel as an option to anyone wanting to have a weekend in stockholm.

The hotel is in the very heart of Stockholm and, even thou more than 5 minutes, walking distance from virtually everything you want to see down town.
The location is also nice, a very quiet residential area, with a small park right across from the entrance to the hotel. Very good for us that travel with our dog, walks where just that, a walk in the park.
The staff was friendly and helped out with a smile, but this time I needed very little from them.
Car parking was the only real downside, the hotel’s own parking facilities where very expensive and on the street there is a zone system one have to watch out with if you want to save a buck. Basically you want to avoid “Red” zones and find the “blue” ones, they are literary right around the corner, but with a lot of one way streets it soon gets tricky. Don’t forget to bring the GPS.
The rooms where in no way new nor where they recently refurbished, but it was clean and had all a hotel room needs. We traveled with our 5 year old and they put an extra bed for him in the room for no extra charge. As mentioned we also travel with our dog, and therefore needed a “pet room”, this was available for a small fee, but the best part was that it wasn’t a smoker room. That is often the case, but the whole hotel is smoke free, I like that.
Breakfast was good too, but the best thing with it was the view since the breakfast room was on a roof terrace overlooking the Stockholm roof tops.

Room Tip: Think Before you park your car.

Nice hotel. Room with french balcony, overlooking a park, or if not on the park other typical Stockholm vintage architecture. Good and typical breakfast, in a very nice airy hotel top dining area that lets in lots of sun(at least in summer). One block off of Drottininggattan a touristy street full of restaurants and shops. About 2 kilometer from Gamla Stan and same from Stockholm Station. (Note it is UP hill on the way back to the hotel). Good price for an expensive city and country. Small lobby but not a problem. Decent enough service.

We had a good time, good breakfast, friendly staff and despite many people staying in this hotel it was quiet. To walk up the hill was a bit exhausting but nothing what can changed. The first impression looking to the outer wall was a bit like OMG but the rooms were new furnished and clean.

We spent three days at Hotel Tegnerlunden with our 8-year old son. This is a nice hotel, with a decent price. The location is very nice, with not too much traffic and Tegnerlunden (a park) just outside. The subway startion is located about 5 minutes walk away at Rådmansgatan and you can walk down to the city center and the old town in 20 or 30 minutes. Just at Rådmansgatan station is Jensen Boefhus, a restaurant nearby which we tried. They serve good steaks for a decent price. The room was quite small and the bathroom was tiny, but it was clean and worked well for us. We were lucky to get a room to the backside. There is no AC in this hotel and our room was fairly warm, but it did not bother us and we were not disturbed by sleeping with our window open. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast is in the top-floor and it was good with a nice view over the roof-tops of Norrmalm. If you want a lot of hot things for breakfast there are not a lot of options. Reception was friendly and helpful. They have a very good garage below the house where we for a decent price rented a place for our car. This was very good and we could just take the elevator from the garage directly up to the corridor outside our room. I would gladly book a room here again the next time our family visits Stockholm.
