Walking distance (with luggage) to the Arlanda express train station. It is built in a quadrangle so none of the rooms face a main road – you couldn’t have a quieter city centre hotel room. Very average breakfast.

My wife and I stayed here 3-7 May 2007. We paid about £85 per night. The hotel is well situated near to the central train and bus stations coming from Arlanda airport. Despite this it is very quiet as all the rooms are built "out the back", away from the main street. The room itself (323) was clean and modern and of reasonable size. The bed was very comfortable: there was cable TV with a DVD option: and the shower (no bath) was always hot. However because the building is constructed in a crescent shape the floor plan on our door indicated that those rooms nearer the centre of the arc may be smaller. It may be worth asking specifically for the larger size. Breakfast is buffet style, and adequate if not inspiring. A nice touch was the (free) coffee and cake that was put out each afternoon. Very welcome after returning weary from site seeing.
There is a very small bar at the hotel, but this appeared to be rarely used. However there is a bar / restaurant immediately next door.
If you haven't been to Stockholm before, most places of interest are accessible by foot. If you're not fit, the subway is about 50 feet away.
What may come as a bit of a shock to UK visitors is that you have to pay to get into everything, no free art galleries or museums. The Stockholm card (from tourist information) offers discounts, but I calculated that it would require miltary precision to recoup enough entrance fees to warrant it's purchase (valid 24 hours) unless you plan to use public transport a lot, as this is covered also.
In general, compared to UK, things cost 15 - 50% more, including food (and especially) alcoholic drink. That said, it's a lovely city with plenty to see and do for 3-4 days (but I would not advise going before May or after October as many of the tourist trips etc close down. Even now (May) they are not fully operational, with July and August appearing to be the main months.

The location of this hotel was really fantastic. Its location is unbeatable. It is two blocks from the Arlanda Express depot and a 10 minute walk to Gamla Stan and the City House. A few more minutes and one is at the National Museum or the Museums housing Eastern Art or Modern Art.
The hotel itself was really nice. While the single rooms were small, they were not overly cramped and had nice touches like LCD TV's and a DVD player (with some classical music CD's provided in the room!). The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The only area that I would even mention as negative is that there was very little room in the singles for hanging clothes. The bath was really quite spacious, CLEAN, and included one of the most powerful showers you will ever find in a hotel. The circular shower (not in my picture unfortunately) was spacious and a wonderful end or start to a day.
The breakfast buffet was spectacular. There was a choice of tea, coffee, two juices, cold water, lots of fruit, breads and rolls, 3-4 cereals, milk, yoghurt, deli meats and cheeses, scrambled eggs, sausages, and bacon. It was well stocked and nicely prepared. There were also free Swedish and English language (Financial Times) newspapers, which was a nice touch. It was a terrific way to start the day.
I highly recommend this hotel overall. Stockholm is expensive, but at least you get a nice, clean room here and a great location and superb breakfast buffet.

Stayed at the Central Hotel over the August Bank Holiday for 3 nights. Single room was small but not cramped, decent sized bathroom too. 3 nights for the price of 2 on Expedia worked out at £55 per night.

Staff were polite and helpful, and there was free internet access in the lobby.

Breakfast was an adequate buffet served in a small dining area on the first floor.

Location was very close to Central Station, convenient for trains or buses from Arlanda airport.
