“Great location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

Great location affording easy walking access to the old city and also in a quiet area. Our room was comfortable and breakfast offered enough variety and quality to see us through till lunch time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Old hotel that's been updated to modern standards. Great location in Stockhlom. I walked to Old Town Stockholm in 15 minutes. Hotel staff very good. Helpful with many things. Breakfast buffet was very good. The price of meals in Stockholm is very high. I reserved a small room. it was small like older European hotel's are.

Hotel is located close to everything. Right at Biblioteksgatan, a high-end shopping street. Just NeXT to Square with trendy restaurants. Nice Little street with small cafees and restaurants 200 m from hotel. Nice Little roof terasse. Great breakfast buffet. small standard room (cheap) but nice, clean and good new bath/toilet. Quiet. Is what it is.

Hotel Kung Carl in Stocholm is a foru star hotel in every other dimension - rooms, beds, cleaning, staff, location - but the breakfast was a bit disappointing. Coffee was not very good, otherwise average breakfast. The breakfast room was a bit growded, so get up early. Otherwise the room was cosy, clean quiet in the 6th floor, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean but the hairdrier was a disaster. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I recommend this for those lookin for a nice hotel near to the attractions and shopping. I was happy to stay here. But missed the good cofee I have had in some other four star hotels.

Room Tip: Ask for a quet room if you want to sleep. Some rooms in lower floors might get some noice from the s...

Me and my wife stayed for 3 nights in August. Arrived at 3 pm,the reception staff were really helpful and polite and we were given room 358. The room was lovely and I recommend it, especially if you´re on a romatic getaway. There´s a beautiful big bed with four pillows and two duvets, a small couch and a desk with a chair. The bahtroom is actually in the room separated by a curtain, so this means almost no privacy when taking a shower but this was not a problem for us. You have both a freestanding bathtub and a shower and the details are lovelly. There´s a safe in the closet and a small empty fridge that you can use. There is free wifi for all your devices and it worked without any problems. Generous breakfast buffe is served next to the reception and this is a great start to your day, but the area is really cramped and to small for the number of people eating in the mornings. The location is great, a 20 minute walk from the central station (or 5 minutes by bus), close by are many restaurants and shops. All in all a great stay in a beautiful city.

Room Tip: Room 358 is really lovelly if you´re a couple on a romantic getaway.

I stayed in a single room and found it faultless, really. There was no kettle in the room as far as I recall, but that's unnecessary with the hotel's provision of teas/coffees. The room was a good size and shape, really comfortable, with three pillows and duvet and blanket so should suit everyone. The bathroom was gorgeous with large powerful shower, and the room and hotel were kept spotless throughout our stay. The a/c in the room was great, especially as we stayed on the hottest weekend of the year! The wifi was reliable and fast. The breakfast buffet was fantastic (my friends liked the cake, I was impressed by the variety of breads and gherkins!), all really fresh and even though it was a very busy weekend, especially Stockholm Pride day, there was enough seating for everyone to be catered for. The reception staff were really helpful and polite (and will stamp/send postcards for you). I really couldn't fault the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for a few days in summer. The hotel is really central, within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and parks, as well as being down the road from the underground. It's got a lovely European feel to it, with comfortable furnishings in the rooms and throughout the hotel. Our room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, providing us with advice on transport options and restaurants. Generous breakfasts and free wifi were included in the price of the room, which was fantastic.

I would highly recommend this for single travellers, couples, or families (they do a child friendly breakfast too). In a city that is pretty pricey, this hotel is really good value for money.
